Major General Sanaullah Khan Niazi ( Pashto, ur} (1960 – September 15, 2013) was a two-star rank general in the Pakistan Army who was killed in a roadside IED blast. At the time of his death, he was serving as General Officer Commanding 17 Division, Malakand. General Qamar Javed Bajwa ( ur, ; born 11 November 1960) is a retired Pakistani army general who served as the tenth Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan from 29 November 2016 to 29 November 2022. The Pakistani Taliban (), formally called the Tehreek-e-Taliban-e-Pakistan (Urdu/ ps, , lit=Student Movement of Pakistan, TTP), is an umbrella organization of various Islamist armed militant groups operating along the Afghan–Pakistani border.
