Sanatan Dinda
Sanatan Dinda ( bn, সনাতন দিন্দা; born 5 February 1971) is an Indian visual artist from Kolkata India. He grew in stature to be the first Indian artist having a displayed portrait of Mother Teresa at the Buckingham Palace (a commissioned work). Early life and education Dinda born in Kumartuli intestines of North Kolkata, he graduated fine arts (Western painting) from the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata in 1992. Sanatan Dinda contributes to the Durga puja of his locality and in doing so has picked up various awards. Kumartuli
Kumortuli (also spelt Kumartuli, or the archaic spelling ''Coomartolly'') is a traditional potters' quarter in northern Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The city is renowned for its sculpting prowess. It not only manufactures clay idols for various festivals but also regularly exports them. History The British colonisation of Bengal and India started following the victory of the British East India Company in the Battle of Plassey in 1757. The company decided to build new settlement Fort William at the site of the Gobindapur village. Most of the existing population shifted to Sutanuti. While such neighbourhoods as Jorasanko and Pathuriaghata became the centres of the local rich; there were other areas that were developed simultaneously. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar (; ; born 24 April 1973) is an Indian former international cricketer who captained the Indian national team. Ustad Amjad Ali Khan (born 9 October 1945) is an Indian classical ''sarod'' player, best known for his clear and fast ekhara taans. Khan was born into a classical musical family and has performed internationally since the 1960s. He was awarded India's second highest civilian honor Padma Vibhushan in 2001.
