San Martino Di Pedriolo, Casalfiumanese
San Martino di Pedriolo is a Roman Catholic parish church located in Casalfiumanese in the Province of Bologna, Italy. The neighborhood also shares the same name. Originally present by the 13th century, the church was rebuilt in 1819 by the architect Angelo Venturoli. The belltower dates to the late 19th century. The main altar was designed by Gioachino Rodoloni, and once hosted an altarpiece depicting the ''Bishop San Martino resuscitating the son of a widow'' by Tadolini. Other works in the church included a ''Virgin healing the Sick'' by Crescimbeni, a pupil of Lazzaro Calvi; and a 19th-century ''St Joseph'' by Filippo Pedrini Filippo Pedrini (Bologna, 1763 - Bologna, 1856) was an Italian painter. Angelo Venturoli
Angelo Venturoli (1749 – March 7, 1821 in Bologna) was an Italian architect. He was born in Medicina in the Province of Bologna, and trained at the Accademia Clementina, under Petronio Fancelli. By 1781, he was an academic, and from 1786 to 1803, docent or teacher of architecture. In 1795, he was named director of the academy and Vice (1802 and 1803). He was active as an architect in Bologna and the Veneto, including Castelfranco Emilia. Among architectural works are refurbishing and Neoclassical additions to the churches of San Giuliano and San Michele Arcangelo, the entrance and Atrium of the palazzo Hercolani, the entrance to Villa Sardini (1777) at Pieve Santo Stefano, and Villa Hercolani. Martin of Tours ( la, Sanctus Martinus Turonensis; 316/336 – 8 November 397), also known as Martin the Merciful, was the third bishop of Tours. Lazzaro Calvi
Lazzaro Calvi (1512–1587) was an Italian painter of the late-Renaissance period. He was born in Genoa and trained with his father Agostino Calvi and Perin del Vaga. Older sources claim he lived till the improbable age of 105 years His elder brother Pantaleone (died 1595) was also a painter. They worked together at Genoa and the different cities of the republic, as well as at Monaco and Naples. Pantaleono acting as the decorator for Luzzato's works. Filippo Pedrini (Bologna, 1763 - Bologna, 1856) was an Italian painter. Biography He was the son of the painter Domenico Pedrini. At the Accademia Clementina in Bologna he became a pupil of Ubaldo and Gaetano Gandolfi, while Mauro Gandolfi and Felice Giani were fellow students. His first paintings of ''Saints Barbara and Thomas Aquinas'' for San Bartolomeo in Bologna (both in situ) date from 1779, were probably completed in collaboration with his father.
