San Juan De Dios Hospital (Philippines)
San Juan de Dios Educational Foundation, Inc. (SJDEFI or SJ, formerly Hospital de San Juan de Dios) is a private, non-stock, non-profit, joint institute of education and tertiary health sciences operating as a college and a hospital in Pasay, Philippines. Both the colleges and hospital are run by the Daughters of Charity. It started out as a hospital in 1578. The hospital is considered the oldest hospital in the Philippines. It is named after San Juan de Dios, a Portuguese-born soldier that turned health-care worker of Spain. Throughout the years, the school has received accreditation from organizations such as the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd), the Department of Education (DepEd). Roxas Boulevard
Roxas Boulevard is a popular waterfront promenade in Metro Manila in the Philippines. The boulevard, which runs along the shores of Manila Bay, is well known for its sunsets and stretch of coconut trees. The divided roadway has become a trademark of Philippine tourism, famed for its yacht club, hotels, restaurants, commercial buildings and parks. The boulevard was completed in the 1910s. The Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) is a private, voluntary, non-profit and non-stock corporation which was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines. It is a service organization which accredits academic programs which meet commonly accepted standards of quality education. PAASCU is an accrediting body composed of different private educational institutions that stamp other private schools with a quality standard attained with regard to their programs. History PAASCU was established in November 5, 1957 as a private, voluntary, non-profit and non-stock corporation. The Bureau of Education and Culture (now Department of Education) formally endorsed PAASCU as an accrediting agency in November 1967.
