San Bernardino County Transportation Authority
The San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA) is the successor to San Bernardino Associated Governments which is responsible for administering the Measure I half-cent tax which San Bernardino County voters passed most recently in 2004. SBCTA conducts transportation planning, construction, and operation in San Bernardino County, California. SBCTA is a joint powers authority comprising all the cities in the county and the county itself. Every city and county supervisor is provided one seat on the board and it also includes a nonvoting member from Caltrans District 8. Planning SBCTA conducts transportation planning for the county of San Bernardino as well as aligns plans with neighboring agencies. The line was planned and constructed by the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority as the Redlands Passenger Rail Project and is operated under contract by Metrolink, which integrates Arrow into its commuter rail system. While mostly a single track line, of double track were constructed in the middle of the route to allow vehicles to pass each other. Riverside Line
Metrolink's Riverside Line is a commuter rail line running from Los Angeles Union Station in Downtown Los Angeles to Riverside along the Union Pacific Railroad. It runs weekday peak commuter hours only, with very little midday and reverse commute service. In 2011, the average weekday ridership was 5,161 passengers. History The Riverside Line, the fourth line to be introduced, was added to the Metrolink system in June 1993. This line featured Saturday service from June 2000 until January 2002, when it was cancelled due to low ridership. Inland Empire–Orange County Line
The Inland Empire–Orange County (IEOC) Line is a commuter rail line run by Metrolink in Southern California. It runs from San Bernardino through Orange County to Oceanside in northern San Diego County. It is the only Metrolink line not to serve Union Station in Los Angeles nor cross the Los Angeles River. The IEOC Line, Metrolink's sixth line to be introduced, opened between Riverside and Irvine on October 2, 1995. Following the completion of track improvements the line opened to San Bernardino on March 4, 1996. With the exception of the Anaheim Canyon station, the line shares all of its stations with the 91 Line, the Orange County Line, the Riverside Line, or the San Bernardino Line. Needles Area Transit
Needles Area Transit (NAT) is the public transportation system, including a Dial-a-Ride program for seniors and persons with disabilities, serving residents of the City of Needles in San Bernardino County, California. The NAT system transports approximately 34,000 riders each year. Route Needles Area Transit provides deviated fixed route service on a single route within Needles. The service operates hourly, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday and for 4 hours on Saturday. NAT serves most of the area within the City, with the exception of some trailer parks on the north end of the city.
