Samvidhaan (TV Series)
''Samvidhaan: The Making of the Constitution of India'' is a ten-part television mini-series based on the making of the Constitution of India, directed by Shyam Benegal. The show premiered on 2 March 2014 on Rajya Sabha TV, with an episode scheduled to air every Sunday morning. The series can be viewed on YouTube on Rajya Sabha TV's channel. Making Shama Zaidi and Atul Tiwari are writers of the series. Zaidi said that it took her six months to write the script. The material came from debates, committee meetings and biographies of Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi. Many of the famous speeches of India's freedom fighters figure in the series. Swara Bhaskar has hosted and narrated the show. The series was shot in Film City, Mumbai and recreates the debates that took place before the drafting of the Constitution of India. Rajya Sabha TV
Rajya Sabha TV was an Indian public cable television network channel owned and operated by Rajya Sabha that covered the proceedings of Rajya Sabha (the Upper House of the Parliament of India). It has now been replaced by Sansad TV. Apart from telecasting live coverage of Rajya Sabha proceedings, RSTV also brought detailed analyses of parliamentary affairs. While focused on current national and international affairs, it provided a platform for knowledge-based programmes for the discerning viewer. The channel offered special attention to legislative business undertaken by the Parliament. In March 2021, this channel and Lok Sabha TV were merged to form a combined parliamentary service, Sansad TV. 15th Lok Sabha
Members of the 15th Lok Sabha were elected during the 2009 general election in India. It was dissolved on 18 May 2014 by President Pranab Mukherjee. Shyam Nandan Sahay
Shyam Nandan Sahay was an Indian landlord, educationist, legislator and the founder vice chancellor of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University. Born in the Indian state of Bihar, he also served as the vice chancellor of Patna University. He was a member of the 1st Lok Sabha, elected from Muzaffarpur Central constituency on Indian National Congress candidature. He won from Muzaffarpur again in 1957 but died in the same year. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 1957, for his contributions to education. A road in Muzaffarpur is named after him. Frank Anthony (25 September 1908 – 3 December 1993) was a leader of the Anglo-Indian community in India, and was until his death their nominated representative in the Parliament of India except 6th and 9th Lok Sabha. He served as the president of the All India Anglo-Indian Association.
