Samuel Wright (Medal Of Honor)
Samuel Wright (January 20, 1828 - July 7, 1918) was an American soldier who fought for the Union Army in the American Civil War. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions at Nolensville defending a wagon train. Wright was born 20 January 1828 in Plympton, Massachusetts. He fought in the 2nd Minnesota Infantry during the Civil War. He died on 7 July 1918 and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Wichita, Kansas Wichita ( ) is the largest city in the U.S. state of Kansas and the county seat of Sedgwick County, Kansas, Sedgwick County. Samuel Thomas Wright
Samuel Thomas Wright (December 19, 1887 – January 28, 1948) was a wholesale merchant and political figure in Ontario. He represented Dovercourt in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1926 to 1934 as a Conservative member. He was born in Toronto in 1887, the son of Samuel Wright and Dorothy Chapman, both Irish. Wright was educated in Toronto. In 1907, he married Edith L. Horner. He served as a member of the Canadian Expeditionary Force during World War I. Wright also served on Toronto city council and on the Toronto Harbour Commission. Samuel Wright (born 15 July 1990) is an Australian front office official at The Australian Ballet. Previously, he was an Australian rules footballer who played for the North Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). AFL career Wright was drafted by North Melbourne with the 27th overall selection of the 2008 AFL Draft from the Murray Bushrangers. He made his debut on 16 May 2009 against Geelong, and received a Rising Star nomination in round 21, 2010. Sam Wright (baseball)
Samuel Wright Jr. (November 25, 1848 – May 6, 1928) was an American professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball for a total of four seasons for the New Haven Elm Citys (1875), Boston Red Caps (1876, 1881), and Cincinnati Stars (1880). In 45 games played, all as a shortstop, he batted .168, had 29 hits, four doubles, five RBIs, scored 10 runs, and one base on balls in 173 at bats. Two of his brothers also played in the majors: Baseball Hall of Famers Harry Wright and George Wright. Wright was born in New York City to Samuel Wright Sr., a famous cricketer, and Sam's second wife, Ann Tone. He died at the age of 79 in Boston, Massachusetts.
