Samuel Hall (politician)
Samuel Hall (June 1, 1797 – May 11, 1862) was an United States of America, American lawyer, judge, and politician who served as the eighth Lieutenant Governor of Indiana from 1840 to 1843. Hall was born in Somerset County, Maryland, Somerset County, Maryland. He was the son of John A. and Elizabeth (Ward) Hall. The family moved to Kentucky in 1805. In 1814, Samuel Hall moved to Gibson County, Indiana, Gibson County, Indiana. He also resided in Logansport, Indiana, Logansport. In 1820, Hall was admitted to the bar and began practicing law. From 1826 to 1827, Hall was a member of the Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana University Board of Visitors. Logansport is a city in and the county seat of Cass County, Indiana, United States. The population was 18,366 at the 2020 census. Logansport is located in northern Indiana at the junction of the Wabash and Eel rivers, northwest of Kokomo. History Logansport was settled circa 1826 and named after a Shawnee warrior named James Logan, better known as "Captain Logan," who served as a scout for U.S. forces in the surrounding area during the War of 1812. Princeton is the largest city in and the county seat of Patoka Township, Gibson County, Indiana, United States. The population was 8,301 at the 2020 United States Census, and it is part of the greater Evansville, Indiana, Metropolitan Area.
