Samuel Bosire
Justice Samuel Elkana Bosire was a former appeal judge in the High Court of Kenya alongside others like Justices Nyamu and Riaga. His rise to fame stems from the famouS.M. Otieno burial disputeand time when he was appointed the chairman of the Goldenberg Commission of Inquiry by President Mwai Kibaki. After much controversy, Mr. Bosire retired in 2014. He is currently undertaking a Master’s degree course in peace and conflict at Kisii University. Bosire is a church elder at the Seventh-day Adventist Church-Nairobi Central, well known as Maxwell. Most recently, Mr. Bosire is the Secretary-General of the Gusii Council of Elders. Vetting Board verdict In April 2012, the Kenya Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board found Justice Bosire unsuitable to hold office. Nicholas Biwott
Nicholas Kipyator Kiprono arap Biwott (1940 – 11 July 2017) was a Kenyan businessman, politician and philanthropist. Biwott served as a civil servant, Member of Parliament and government minister, during which time he held eight senior ministerial positions during the presidency of Daniel arap Moi. Early life Biwott was born in Chebior village, Keiyo District, Rift Valley Province, Kenya on 22 February 1940 to Cheserem Soti, a market trader and cattle herder in Eldoret, and Maria Soti. He attended Tambach Intermediate School from 1951 to 1954, after which he joined Kapsabet High School. After finishing secondary school in 1959, Biwott began working at the Department of Information in Eldoret, after which he published the Kalenjin monthly newsletter with Kendagor Bett. Court Of Appeal Of Kenya
The Court of Appeal of Kenya is established under Article 164 of the constitution of Kenya and consists of a number of judges, being not fewer than twelve. The court handles appeals arising over the decisions of the High Court of Kenya, the Environment & Land Court and the Employment & Labour Relations Court as well as any other court or tribunal as provided for in law. The judges of the Court of Appeal elect one Judge to represent them on the Judicial Service Commission. Wycliffe Musalia Mudavadi (born 21 September 1960) is a Kenyan politician and land economist who is currently serving as the Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya. Goldenberg Scandal
The Goldenberg scandal was a political scandal where the Kenyan government was found to have subsidised exports of gold far beyond standard arrangements during the 1990s, by paying the company Goldenberg International 35% more (in Kenyan shillings) than their foreign currency earnings. Although it notionally appears that the scheme was intended to earn hard currency for the country, it is estimated to have cost Kenya the equivalent of more than 10% of the country's annual gross domestic product, and it is possible that no or minimal amounts of gold were actually exported. George Saitoti
George Musengi Saitoti, State Commendations of Kenya, E.G.H.
