Samsung G810
The Samsung G810 is a Symbian OS smartphone developed and released by Samsung Telecommunications. It was announced at Mobile World Congress on 11 February 2008. The handset succeeds the previous G-model, the G800, incorporating the same 5-megapixel camera with Xenon flash, 3x Optical Zoom, and 3.5G capability, whilst adding Wi-Fi and GPS capabilities and running on the S60 (3rd Edition) Symbian platform. With these features in a slider-package, the G810 was aimed at rivaling Nokia's N95. It has an all-metal casing. The G810 comes with QuickOffice pre-installed which ables to edit and create Microsoft Office 2003 file formats and read PDF files. Its web browser is WebKit based and is able to use WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML, RSS feeds and video streaming. It was succeeded by the Samsung i8510 Innov8. QuickOffice
Quickoffice is a discontinued freeware proprietary productivity suite for mobile devices which allows viewing, creating and editing documents, presentations and spreadsheets. It consists of ''Quickword'' (a word processor), ''Quicksheet'' (a spreadsheet), ''QuickPoint'' (a presentation program) and ''QuickPDF'' (a pdf viewer). The programs are compatible with Microsoft Office file formats, but not the OpenDocument file format. Quickoffice was commonly used on smartphones and tablets. It was the main office editing suite on Symbian OS where it first appeared in 2005 and last updated in 2011, and came pre-loaded on all devices. It was released for Android in 2010. Symbian is a discontinued mobile operating system (OS) and computing platform designed for smartphones. It was originally developed as a proprietary software OS for personal digital assistants in 1998 by the Symbian Ltd. consortium. Symbian OS is a descendant of Psion's EPOC, and was released exclusively on ARM processors, although an unreleased x86 port existed. Samsung U900 Soul
The Samsung SGH-U900 (marketed as the Samsung Soul) is a slider mobile phone from Samsung Telecommunications. It was introduced at Mobile World Congress on 11 February 2008. It is a member of Samsung's fashion-focused "Ultra" line of handsets and the company's flagship at the time. The Soul initially came in two colors: Platinum Silver and Soul Gray, later also coming in Pink, Silver, and Black and Gold. It is made of a metallic body and the slider has spring mechanism. There is a second, touch-sensitive OLED display below the main 2.2-inch display which shows different navigational functions, tailored for the current software operation (as previously appearing on the E950 model). Samsung F480 Tocco
The Samsung SGH-F480 (marketed as Tocco in many English-spoken countries, or Player Style in France) is a touch-screen mobile phone announced in February 2008 and released in May 2008 by Samsung Mobile. The F480 is available from Orange, T-Mobile, 3, Virgin Mobile, Telstra, Optus, and O2 mobile carriers under both contract and prepaid plans. Models without a SIM lock are also available. It comes in three colours: black, pink, and gold. The Sony Ericsson K850i is a high-end mobile phone when released in October 2007. It was announced in June 2007 as the flagship product in Sony Ericsson's K ("Kamera") series, with a 5 megapixel CMOS camera sensor. The K850 was the first Sony Ericsson phone released outside of NTT DoCoMo to support microSD and microSDHC along with Sony's traditional M2. Nokia N82
The Nokia N82 is a high-end smartphone produced by Nokia, and announced on 14 November 2007 as part of the company's Nseries line. The N82 runs Symbian OS v9.2 ( S60 3rd Edition, FP1). The N82 inherits much of the Nokia N95's features and specifications (including GPS, Wi-Fi and HSDPA), with the major addition being its xenon flash. At the time the N82 was considered one of the most sophisticated camera phone on the market. It is also considered a successor to the Nokia N95, preceding the Nokia N96. Like the N95 before it, the Nokia N82 was critically acclaimed and is often considered one of the best Symbian devices, although it did not sell as much and was not available worldwide.
