Samir Sellami
Samir Sellami (born July 13, 1977) is a former Tunisian male volleyball player. He was part of the Tunisia men's national volleyball team. He competed with the national team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. He played with CS Sfaxien in 2004. The Club Sportif Sfaxien Volleyball Club ( ar, النادي الرياضي الصفاقسي للكرة الطائرة, often referred to as ''CSS'') is one of CS Sfaxien club's sections that represent the club in Tunisia and international volleyball competitions, the club team based in Sfax. The Tunisia men's national volleyball team ( ar, منتخب تونس لكرة الطائرة), nicknamed ''Les Aigles de Carthage (The Eagles of Carthage or The Carthage Eagles)'', represents Tunisia in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court. The men's tournament in volleyball at the 2004 Summer Olympics was the 11th edition of the event at the Summer Olympics, organized by the world's governing body, the FIVB in conjunction with the IOC.
