Samantha Bromberg
Samantha "Murphy" Bromberg (born July 12, 1995) is a former American diver. Bromberg is the daughter of Danny and Karen Bromberg. She graduated from Bexley High School in 2013 and attended the University of Texas. She participated at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships, winning a medal. As a collegian, Bromberg made All-America four times and was the Big 12 Conference Diver of the Year in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 in addition to being a Big 12 champion five times. She also was a finalist at the U.S. Olympic Diving Trials in 2016 and the FINA World Championships in 2013. Bexley is a suburban city in Franklin County, Ohio, United States. The population was 13,928 at the 2020 census. Founded as a village, the city of Bexley is a suburb of Columbus, the Ohio state capital, situated on the banks of Alum Creek next to Driving Park and Wolfe Park, just east of the Franklin Park Conservatory. The Big 12 Conference is a college athletic conference headquartered in Irving, Texas, USA. It consists of ten full-member universities. The All-America designation is an annual honor bestowed upon an amateur sports person from the United States who is considered to be one of the best amateurs in their sport. Individuals receiving this distinction are typically added to an All-America team for their sport. Some sports will have multiple All-America teams and will list the honorees as members of a first team, second team, or third team. As such, All-America teams are composed of outstanding US amateur players. Individuals falling short of qualifying for the honor may receive All-America honorable mention.
