Samad Ali Mallick (born 30 September 1994) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Mohammedan in the I-League. Career Mallik started his career with then Calcutta Football League third division side, NBP Rainbow, before signing for East Bengal He played for East Bengal in the Calcutta Football League. He made his professional debut for the club on 10 January 2016 in the I-League against Sporting Goa. He started the match and played the full match as East Bengal won 3–1. 2016–17 I-League
The 2016–17 I-League was the 10th season of the I-League, the top Indian professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 2007. The season began on 7 January 2017 and concluded on 30 April 2017. Aizawl won their first title on the final day after securing a draw against Shillong Lajong on 30 April 2017. Football At The South Asian Games
Football has been a sport at the South Asian Games since it commenced in 1984. Since the 2004 South Asian Games, the age limit for men's teams is under 23, plus up to three overaged players for each squad, which is the same as the age limit in football competitions at the Summer Olympics and Asian Games. Nepal and Pakistan are currently the most successful countries in the Men's event with 4 Gold Medals each while India is the most successful in Women's event with 3 Gold Medals. The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition.
