''Samaara'' ( si, සමාරා, italic=yes) is a 2006 Sri Lankan Sinhala romantic thriller film directed by Sanjaya Nirmal and produced by Soma Edirisinghe for EAP Films. It stars Kamal Addaraarachchi and Kanchana Mendis in lead roles along with Semini Iddamalgoda and child actress Sandali Welikanne. Music composed by Rohana Weerasinghe. It is the 1070th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. Plot The film revolves around Samara, a little girl and her mother Indu. Addararachchige Gunendra Kamal (born on 5 February 1962: si, කමල් අද්දරආරච්චි), popularly as Kamal Addararachchi, is an actor in Sri Lankan Sri Lankan cinema, theatre and television, as well as a singer and presenter. Soma Edirisinghe ( si, සෝමා එදිරිසිංහ; 5 July 1939 – 5 November 2015) was a Sri Lankan corporate executive, film producer, philanthropist and social worker. She was born in Meegoda, Sri Lanka on 5 July 1939 to a family of nine daughters, and died on 5 November 2015 at a private hospital in Colombo. DR. Rohana Weerasinghe (born February 18, 1949), is a Sri Lankan musician, composer and singer. Early life Weerasinghe was born on 18 February 1949 in Algiriya, Matara in southern Sri Lanka. He was the youngest child to his parents Henry Weerasinghe and Sepalin Weerasinghe. In 1954, Weerasinghe started schooling from Good Shepard Family Convent in Nuwara Eliya, and later moved to Vidyachakra Buddhist School Ruwan Eliya, Welimada Maha Vidyalaya, Pannipitya Dharmapala Vidyalaya and Gamini Maha Vidyalaya Nuwara Eliya.
