Sam Van Der Ven
Sam van der Ven (born 5 September 1989) is a Dutch field hockey player who plays as a goalkeeper for HGC and the Dutch national team. International career Van der Ven made his debut for the Dutch national team in a test match against Belgium in 2014. He was a part of the Dutch squad which won the silver medal at the 2018 World Cup. In June 2019, he was selected as the joint first goalkeeper in the Netherlands squad for the 2019 EuroHockey Championship. Voorburg
Voorburg is a town and former municipality in the west part of the province of South Holland, Netherlands. Together with Leidschendam and Stompwijk, it makes up the municipality Leidschendam-Voorburg. It has a population of about 39,000 people. The Royal Dutch Hockey Association ( nl, Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockey Bond, KNHB) is the official governing body of Field hockey in the Netherlands. It governs both the indoor and outdoor field hockey leagues, as well as the Netherlands national field hockey team and the Netherlands women's national field hockey team. Originally, the association was also responsible for bandy in the Netherlands, but that sport is now governed by Bandy Bond Nederland.
