Sam Powell-Pepper
Samuel Powell-Pepper (born 8 January 1998) is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Powell-Pepper was born in Perth, the son of Maureen and Steven. His mother is Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and his father is white. He has two full siblings and two half-brothers. His parents separated when he was young and he lived with his father until he was eight, then spent periods with his paternal grandmother, his mother, and friends' families. His maternal grandmother died in prison and his mother has also spent time in prison. Powell-Pepper initially attended Mount Lawley Senior High School as an inaugural member of the school’s Aboriginal Excellence Program, before switching to Wesley College on an indigenous scholarship. In Australian rules football, a player can score a goal by kicking the oval ball between the two central goal posts. 298 players are recognised to have scored a goal with their first kick in the sport's premier competition, the Australian Football League (AFL), known before 1990 as the Victorian Football League (VFL). These players are often said to have joined an "elite" and "exclusive" club. Rarer still are players who have scored goals from their first two kicks – a mere 40 of these players have been recorded. Quinton Narkle
Quinton Narkle (born 3 December 1997) is an Australian rules footballer with the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He made his AFL debut for Geelong in round 15 of the 2018 season against the Western Bulldogs at Docklands Stadium. Narkle, from Western Australia, attended Wesley College and originally played for West Australian Football League club Perth Demons. He played for his state at the AFL Under 18 Championships, averaging 16 disposals. Narkle was drafted by Geelong with pick 60 in the 2016 national draft. In June 2017, he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament while training and did not return until May 2018. Narkle played six Victorian Football League matches before his debut.
