Sam Lisone
Sam Lisone (born 19 February 1994), also known by the nickname of "Slammin'", is a Samoa international rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League. He previously played for the New Zealand Warriors and the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League, and has played for the NRL All Stars at representative level. Early years Lisone was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and is of Samoan and New Zealand descent and attended Tangaroa College. He played his junior rugby league for Otahuhu Leopards. He attended the National Secondary Schools competition in 2011 and was named in the tournament team. Playing career Lisone was signed by the New Zealand Warriors in 2012 and played in the Warriors NYC team in 2013 and 2014. He attended an NRL rookie camp on 24 and 25 November 2012. The 2022 NRL season is the 115th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 25th season run by the National Rugby League. Teams The lineup of teams remained unchanged for the 16th consecutive year. This became the second longest stretch of time (after 1947-1966 - 20 seasons) of a continuous line-up of teams in competition history (overtaking 1967-1981 - 15 seasons). Pre-season Pre-season matches were played between 12 February and 28 February 2022, before a 10-day lead up until the beginning of the regular season. It featured nineteen matches across three weekends, including the 2022 All Stars match, which was won by the Māori All Stars 16 – 10, and the annual Charity Shield match between the South Sydney Rabbitohs and St George Illawarra Dragons, which the Dragons won 16–10. The Pacific Rugby League International is a rugby league test match that has been played between two Pacific Island nations during the National Rugby League's annual representative weekend since 2013. The fixture was held at Penrith Stadium for the 2013 and 2014 test matches. In 2015, two fixtures were held; Samoa and Tonga competed for the Polynesian Cup while Fiji and Papua New Guinea competed for the Melanesian Cup at Cbus Super Stadium. In 2016 the fixtures returned to New South Wales and were held at Parramatta's Pirtek Stadium. In August 2015, the NRL announced a new $925 million (Australian) TV deal. As part of the deal it was announced that the Pacific test matches would continue to be televised until at least 2022 and will be played on the Sunday before game 2 of the State of Origin series. Tonga National Rugby League Team

The Newcastle Knights are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Newcastle, New South Wales. The 2015 NRL Auckland Nines (known as the Dick Smith NRL Auckland Nines due to sponsorship) was the second NRL Auckland Nines tournament, contested between all sixteen teams of the National Rugby League. The draw was released on 16 September 2014. It was a two-day, nine-a-side, knockout tournament held at Eden Park in Auckland, New Zealand. All sixteen NRL clubs and 288 players competed over the one weekend (31 January – 1 February) with AUD$2.4 million prize money split between the teams.
