Sam Kai Vui Kun
Sam Kai Vui Kun, known also as Kuan Tai Temple, () is located in front oSt. Dominic’s Market Complex near Senado Square in Sé, Macau, China. The temple was built in 1750. Kuan Tai () is the Anglicized spelling of Lord Guan, an important general during the Three Kingdoms period in China, being now honored and worshiped in Taoism, Confucianism and Chinese Buddhism. Sé, Macau
Sé is a southeast Freguesia (Macau), civil parish ( pt, freguesia) in the Macau Peninsula of Macau. It is the second largest peninsular district in Macau after the civil parish of Freguesia de Nossa Senhora de Fátima (Macau), Nossa Senhora de Fátima. The parish area is named for the Igreja da Sé (Macau), Igreja da Sé. A-Ma Temple
The A-Ma Temple is a temple to the Chinese sea-goddess Mazu located in São Lourenço, Macau, China. Built in 1488, the temple is one of the oldest in Macau and thought to be the settlement's namesake. History The name ''Macau'' was thought to be derived from the name of the temple. It is said that when the Portuguese sailors landed at the coast just outside the temple and asked the name of the place, the natives replied ''Maa-gok'' or ''A-maa-gok'' of the Mother"). Martial Temple
Martial temples (), also translated as military temples or warrior temples, are Chinese temples dedicated to worshiping outstanding military leaders and strategists (excluding kings and emperors). They were often built by the governments as the counterpart of civil temples (''wenmiao'') or Temple of Confucius. Temples that worshiped both civil and military gods are called Wenwu temple (''wenwumiao''). Martial temples originated from China in 731 AD, initially for worshiping 11 strategists, among whom Jiang Ziya was the dominant figure. The rest of the 10 strategists with comparatively inferior status were called ''Shizhe'' (十哲), which means "Ten Wise Men", among whom Zhang Liang had the highest status, only below Jiang Ziya. The Na Tcha Temple ( pt, Templo Na Tcha; ), built in 1888, is a Chinese folk religion temple in Santo António, Macau, China.
