Sam Gendel
Sam Gendel is an American saxophonist and music producer. Career With bassist Sam Wilkes, Gendel released the live jazz album ''Music for Saxofone & Bass Guitar'' in 2018. Gendel co-wrote the tracks "Flower Moon" and "Spring Snow" on Vampire Weekend's 2019 album, ''Father of the Bride''. He also recorded a 20 minute, 21 second-long version of Vampire Weekend's "2021" for the EP ''40:42''. In March 2020, Gendel released his first album with Nonesuch Records, ''Satin Doll'', which was described as "a futuristic homage to historical jazz." Saxophone
The saxophone (often referred to colloquially as the sax) is a type of single-reed woodwind instrument with a conical body, usually made of brass. As with all single-reed instruments, sound is produced when a reed on a mouthpiece vibrates to produce a sound wave inside the instrument's body. Vampire Weekend is an American rock band from New York City, formed in 2006 and currently signed to Columbia Records. It is composed of two anonymous artists who wear clown masks, speculated to be drummer Louis Cole of the indietronica/jazzfunk band Knower and Sam Gendel, a saxophonist who has performed with Knower.
