Sam Garrison (born November 13, 1976) is an American politician who has served in the Florida House of Representatives from the 18th district since 2020. He currently serves as the incumbent for Florida's 11th House of Representatives district and is a likely representative to be voted Florida's House Speaker for 2026. Travis Cummings (born June 30, 1972) is a former Republican member of the Florida House of Representatives, who represented the 18th District, which includes most of northern Clay County, from 2012 to 2020. History Cummings attended Valdosta State University, where he graduated with a degree in accounting in 1994. He later attended the University of North Florida, graduating with a Master of Business Administration in 2002. Cummings works as a businessman, specializing in employee benefits consulting. From 2002 to 2008, he served on the Orange Park City Council, and served as Mayor from 2004 to 2005. Florida's 11th House District elects one member of the Florida House of Representatives. The district representative seat is currently held by Sam Garrison since the 2022 United States House of Representatives elections. Following the 2020 United States redistricting cycle, Florida redrew district borders, changing its location from Northeast Jacksonville to Southeast Jacksonville, west of Fruit Cove, containing Middleburg. As of the 2010 Census, the district's population is 177,922.
