Sam Froling
Samson James Froling (born 10 February 2000) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Illawarra Hawks of the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL). Froling played college basketball for the Creighton Bluejays men's basketball, Creighton Bluejays for one season before leaving to play basketball in Australia professionally. College career In January 2018, Froling committed to play college basketball for the Creighton Bluejays men's basketball, Creighton Bluejays after receiving offers from programs including Wichita State Shockers men's basketball, Wichita State, Arizona Wildcats men's basketball, Arizona and Maryland Terrapins men's basketball, Maryland. In 30 games for Creighton during the 2018–19 season, Froling averaged 3.6 points and 1.9 rebounds in 8.9 minutes a game. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. 2019 NBL1 Season
The 2019 NBL1 season was the first season of NBL1 after the demise of the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL). The season begun on 29 March 2019 with three matches being placed and it concluded on 17 August 2019 with the grand final of both the men's and women's seasons. Background On 15 February, the name of NBL1 was decided with Basketball Victoria and the NBL deciding on the name which would formerly replace the SEABL as the premier winter league. This was mainly due to the fact that Basketball Australia decided to pull the plug on the SEABL. Forcing the Victorian teams plus the three Tassie teams into the creation of the new league. Eltham Wildcats, Knox Raiders, Ringwood Hawks and the Waverley Falcons all got promoted from the Big V. Brisbane Bullets
The Brisbane Bullets are an Australian professional men's basketball team in the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL) based in Brisbane, Brisbane, Queensland. They competed from 1979 to 2008, and returned to the league in 2016. Brisbane were one of ten NBL foundation teams and have won three NBL championships, being successful in the 1985 and 1987 seasons, and again in 2007. They also competed in the 1984, 1986 and 1990 grand finals. The team reached the playoffs 21 times in their illustrious 30-year history. Harry Froling
Harrison Michael Froling (born 20 April 1998) is an Australian professional basketball player. He had a two-year college career in the United States playing for the SMU Mustangs (2016–17) and the Marquette Golden Eagles (2017–18). In 2018, he joined the Adelaide 36ers of the National Basketball League (NBL) and earned NBL Rookie of the Year honours for the 2018–19 season. Early life and career Froling was born and raised in Townsville, Queensland, where he attended Pimlico State High School. In 2014, he moved to Canberra to attend the Australian Institute of Sport and played for the BA Centre of Excellence in the SEABL. In 2015, he split his time between the BA Centre of Excellence in the SEABL and the Townsville Heat in the QBL. Women's National Basketball League
The Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) is the pre-eminent professional women's basketball league in Australia. It is currently composed of eight teams. The league was founded in 1981 and is the women's counterpart to the National Basketball League (NBL). Several WNBL teams have NBL counterparts.
