Sam Crow (baseball)
John "Sam" Crow (birthdate unknown) was a pre-Negro leagues Infielder for several years before the founding of the first Negro National League. He is often listed as the "Indian" on the All Nations baseball team, insinuating that Crow comes from Indigenous heritage. Crow left the All Nations team to play for Seward, Nebraska in 1913. He played mostly for the All Nations and at least one year for the French Lick Plutos. During his tenure with the All Nations, Crow played with Baseball Hall of Famers José Méndez, Cristóbal Torriente, and for Hall of Fame Manager J. L. Wilkinson. Also on the team were Hall of Fame nominee John Donaldson and Elmer Brandell. An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Todd Allen (baseball)
Herbert Todd Allen (January 14, 1885 – January 17, 1971) was a Negro leagues third baseman and manager from 1908 to 1925, playing mostly with the Indianapolis ABCs. Allen was born in Wheatland, Indiana, in 1885. By 1908, at the age of 23, he was playing third base for the Indianapolis ABCs. He played most of his seasons for the ABCs, including a winter season with a mostly ABCs team that played for the Royal Poinciana Hotel in West Palm Beach, Florida. After the ABCs, Allen played for a number of years for the French Lick Plutos and the Lincoln Giants. He appeared as late as 1925 for the Indianapolis ABCs. Dan Kennard
Daniel Kennard (September 3, 1883 – May 21, 1947) was a Negro leagues catcher for several years before the founding of the first Negro National League, and in its first few seasons. On July 28, 1915, 31 year-old Kennard moved from the West Baden Sprudels to become the catcher for the Indianapolis ABCs. He started his first game for the A.B.C.s by pitching. Bingo DeMoss
Elwood "Bingo" DeMoss (September 5, 1889 – January 26, 1965) was a baseball player and manager in the Negro leagues from 1905 to 1943. Early life DeMoss was born in Topeka, Kansas in 1889 and began his playing career in 1905 with the Topeka Giants. He is considered the finest fielding second baseman of the 1910s and 1920s Negro leagues. He was the captain of the 1926 Negro league champion Chicago American Giants. Using great bat control, DeMoss is considered one of the greatest bunters in Negro league History. His highest batting average came in 1926 when he finished second in the batting race with a .303 average. After he retired, he spent fifteen years as a manager. Playing career DeMoss spent his prime years with the Chicago American Giants, and as a player-manager for the Indianapolis ABC's and Detroit Stars.
