Sam Bremner
Samantha Bremner (; born 19 December 1991) is an Australian rugby league footballer who plays as a for the Sydney Roosters in the NRL Women's Premiership and the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the NSWRL Women's Premiership. She previously played for the St. George Illawarra Dragons in the NRLW and is a New South Wales and Australia representative, winning two World Cups Background Born in Sydney, Bremner's father, Gary Hammond, was a professional rugby league player for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks and Illawarra Steelers in the 1980s. Playing career In 2012, while playing for the Helensburgh Tiger Lillies, Bremner made her debut for New South Wales, scoring a try in a 10–34 loss to Queensland. 2013 Women's Rugby League World Cup
The 2013 Women's Rugby League World Cup was the fourth staging of the Women's Rugby League World Cup. The tournament was held in Great Britain from 26 October, culminating in the final between Australia and New Zealand on 14 July. It was held at Headingley Rugby Stadium, Leeds. 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup
The 2017 Women's Rugby League World Cup was the fifth staging of the Women's Rugby League World Cup and was held in Australia between 16 November and 2 December 2017. Pool and semi-final matches was held at Southern Cross Group Stadium in Sydney, with the final held at Brisbane Stadium. The final was played as a double-header with the men's final. 2020 NRL Nines
The 2020 NRL Nines was the fifth edition of the NRL Nines rugby league nines and the first one hosted outside of Auckland. It was played at HBF Park, Perth on 14–15 February 2020. Just like previous tournaments, it was contested by all 16 National Rugby League teams, but for the first time, the four NRL Women's Premiership teams played as well, as opposed to the Jillaroos and Kiwi Ferns like in former editions. The men's tournament was split into four pools of four teams (1, 2, 3 & 4) and then into two groups of two teams in each pool (A & B). Each side was initially to play two games, against the teams from the other group of their pool. The top two teams in each pool then played off in a knockout-style tournament. The women's tournament, meanwhile, was a round-robin with each team playing three games, one against each of the others, before the top two teams met in the final. The Brisbane Broncos Rugby League Football Club Ltd., commonly referred to as the Broncos, is an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Brisbane, Queensland. 2018 NRL Women's Season
The 2018 NRL Women's Premiership (NRLW) was the first season of professional women's rugby league in Australia. Teams Pre-season Only two of the four sides, the Brisbane Broncos and New Zealand Warriors, took part in pre-season trial games. The Warriors played two fixtures against a combined Auckland side, while the Broncos played the Papua New Guinea Orchids as a curtain-raiser to the Brisbane Broncos-Manly Sea Eagles NRL fixture. The Sydney Roosters were due to play the North Sydney Bears but the game was cancelled due to player availability.
