Salma (Pakistani Film)
''Salma'' is a Pakistani film directed by Ashfaq Malik and based on writer Nazir Ajmeri's own 1942 film '' Sharda''. The lead cast of the film include Bahar, Allauddin, Yasmin and Ejaz. The music was composed by Rashid Attre. It was Allauddin's first appearance in a leading role. A film from the Golden Age of Pakistani cinema, it explores the themes such as importance of education for girls and necessity of mutual contest in marital relationships. A moderately successful film of 1960, it was later remade in 1980 as ''Saima'', starring Babra Sharif and Nadeem. Plot Fazlu is a quarrelsome, uneducated and unemployed man from a lower-class family, who lives with her mother who hardly makes the both ends meet. Saleem Raza (singer)
Noel Dias (4 March 1932 – 25 November 1983), better known as Saleem Raza ( ur, ), was a Pakistani playback singer. He started his singing career from Lahore, Pakistan and quickly gained popularity. Raza was a classically- trained singer and was more famous for singing sad songs. Raza's career suffered due to the rise of singer Ahmed Rushdi in the late 1950s. He left playback singing in 1966 as he lost his popularity with the film composers and moved to Canada where he died in 1983. Career Saleem Raza was born Noel Dias in a Christian family. After the independence of Pakistan in 1947, he migrated to Pakistan and settled in Lahore. He first sang for Lahore Radio Station. Raza also made friends with an artist of the time, Mohni Hameed. Naseem Begum
Naseem Begum ( ur, ), (24 February 1936 – 29 September 1971) was a popular, and well known Pakistani film playback singer. She was known as ''The Tradegy Queen'' for singing sorrowful and downhearted songs in films. She rose to prominence towards the end of the 1950s, and by 1964, she had won the prestigious Nigar Awards on four occasions. Despite originally being billed as a ''Second Noor Jehan'', Naseem Begum quickly carved out her own successful niche in the Pakistani film industry. Tanvir Naqvi
Tanvir Naqvi (born Syed Khursheed Ali; 16 February 1919 1 November 1972), also spelled Tanveer Naqvi, was a Pakistani lyricist and poet. He wrote lyrics for 200 uncertain films, including Lollywood and Bollywood. He made his debut in Indian cinema with ''Swami'' film directed by Abdul Rashid Kardar, and later remained active in Pakistani film industry for over fifteen years. He earned recognition after writing "Aawaz De Kaha Hai" song for ''Anmol Ghadi'' film and "Rang Laayega Shaheedon ka Lahoo" song covering 1965 India-Pakistan war. Agha Ali Abbas Qizilbash (also known as Agha Talish, ur, ) (13 November 1923 – 19 February 1998) was a Pakistani actor who made his debut in 1947 and was mostly known and recognized in Pakistan for playing character actor or villain roles. Bibbo (born Ishrat Sultana 1906 – 1972) was a music composer, singer and actress who worked in both Indian and Pakistani films. She acted in Indian cinema from 1933 to 1947 before moving to Pakistan, following Partition of India in 1947. She started her acting career with Ajanta Cinetone Ltd. in 1933, working with directors like M. D. Bhavnani and A. P. Kapoor. She was one of the top leading ladies of the 1930s along with actresses like Devika Rani, Durga Khote, Sulochana, Mehtab, Shanta Apte, Sabita Devi, Leela Desai and Naseem Banu.
