Saliva (album)
''Saliva'' is the debut studio album by American nu-metal band Saliva. The album was recorded in the summer of 1997 at Rockingchair Recording Studios in Memphis, Tennessee and released on Rockingchair Records on August 26, 1997. It is their only album to feature original drummer Todd Poole, who would leave in 1999 and was replaced by Paul Crosby. Re-Issue (2003) Following the major record label success of the band, after the release of ''Every Six Seconds'' (2001) and ''Back Into Your System'' (2002), Rockingchair Records made a manufacturing and distribution deal with Diamond Productions and RED Distribution imprint RUMM (RED Urban Music Marketing). The re-issue came out in 2003 with identical audio content but featured updated artwork. The front cover was completely redesigned and features a woman's face with her eyes closed, playing off the artwork of ''Every Six Seconds''. Saliva (band)
Saliva is an American rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1996. Saliva released their self-titled debut album in 1997 through Rockingchair Records, a label owned and operated by Mark Yoshida. The release was recorded and produced by Bill Pappas at Rockingchair Studios. They were signed to Island Records and went on to release their second studio album ''Every Six Seconds''. Saliva later released their third studio album titled ''Back into Your System'' in 2002, which reached No. 19 on the Billboard 200. ''Back into Your System'' launched one of Saliva's most successful songs, "Always", reaching No. 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the Modern Rock Chart. Steve Thompson (musician)
Steve Thompson is an American record producer and remixer who has worked with artists including Guns N' Roses, Life of Agony, Tesla, Madonna, John Lennon, Wu-Tang Clan and Korn. Biography Steve Thompson is a native New Yorker. As a youth, he worked as a DJ in New York City. He was mentored by music moguls David Geffen and Clive Davis early in his career. At Geffen Records, he got his first real break in the rock genre as a mixer on the 1987 Guns N' Roses album ''Appetite for Destruction'' that would become Geffen's most successful album. He is a long-time collaborator with mixing engineer Michael Barbiero, with whom he shares credits on albums such as ''Appetite for Destruction'' and ''The Great Radio Controversy'' by Tesla. Josey Scott
Joseph Scott Sappington (born May 3, 1972) is an American musician, best known as the former lead vocalist of the rock band Saliva. In addition to Saliva, Scott co-wrote and performed "Hero" (which was used as one of the theme songs to the 2002 film ''Spider-Man'') with Chad Kroeger of Nickelback. Career Prior to Saliva, Scott fronted a Memphis-area heavy metal band called BlackBone in the early 1990s. He also plays drums and guitar. He made a cameo appearance on Jay-Z's "Takeover" from his 2001 album ''The Blueprint''. He has also recorded with Lil Wyte ("Homicidal, Suicidal" and "Crazy"), Three 6 Mafia ("Getting Fucked Up" and "Mosh Pit"), and The X-Ecutioners ("(Even) More Human Than Human"). ''Ginger Snaps'' is a 2000 Canadian supernatural horror film directed by John Fawcett and written by Karen Walton, from a story they jointly developed. The film stars Emily Perkins and Katharine Isabelle as Brigitte and Ginger Fitzgerald, two morbid teenage sisters whose relationship is tested when Ginger (who has started her period for the first time) is attacked and bitten by a unknown animal, and then later, during the next full moon, slowly starts to transform into a lycanthrope (werewolf). The A-side and B-side are the two sides of phonograph records and cassettes; these terms have often been printed on the labels of two-sided music recordings. The A-side usually features a recording that its artist, producer, or record company intends to be the initial focus of promotional efforts and radio airplay and hopefully become a hit record. The B-side (or "flip-side") is a secondary recording that typically receives less attention, although some B-sides have been as successful as, or more so than, their A-sides.
