Salisbury East ( ) is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, located 20 kilometres north of the Adelaide CBD. The residential part of the suburb is in the local government area (LGA) of the City of Salisbury, however the eastern part of the Cobbler Creek Recreation Park is in the boundaries of the City of Tea Tree Gully. Demographics In the 2021 census, Salisbury East had a population of 9,273. Its median age was 40, lower than 41 for all South Australia, but higher than 38 for all Australia and 39 for Greater Adelaide. 49% of the population were male and 51% were female. 40% reported being of English ancestry and 30.3% being of Australian ancestry; the next most common backgrounds were Scottish (7%), German (6.1%), and Irish (6.1%). Electoral District Of King (South Australia)
King is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was created by the redistribution conducted in 2016, and was contested for the first time at the 2018 state election. King is named after Len King , a former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of South Australia and Attorney-General in the Dunstan government. The Electoral District Boundaries Commission considered that it had renamed the electoral district of Napier to King, but only 1479 of the estimated 27,002 voters in King had previously been voters in Napier from the rural areas of Bibaringa, One Tree Hill, Uleybury, Yattalunga. Cobbler Creek Recreation Park
Cobbler Creek Recreation Park is a protected area located in South Australia about north of the Adelaide city centre in the suburb of Salisbury East. Originally part of the lands of the Kaurna aboriginal people, it was farmed from European settlement of South Australia until the declaration of the park in 1989. The park provides an open space barrier between Golden Grove and the suburbs of Salisbury, has dams to mitigate flooding and is a significant site for both public recreation and native flora and fauna conservation. It is bounded by main roads and bisected by a four-lane main connecting road. Para Hills, South Australia
Para Hills is a residential suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. There is a light aircraft airport close to its boundary, and numerous sporting facilities, abundant parks and schools and two medium-sized shopping centres.
