Bardfield Saling
Bardfield Saling is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of The Salings, in the county of Essex, England. It is approximately west-northwest of Braintree and is 12 miles (19 km) north from the county town of Chelmsford. The village is in the district of Braintree and in the parliamentary constituency of Braintree. The parish is part of the Panfield, Shalford and The Salings parish cluster. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 179, increasing to 193 at the 2011 Census. Great Saling
Great Saling is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of The Salings, in the Braintree district of the English county of Essex. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 Census was 282. It is near the town of Braintree. The hamlet of Blake End was part of the parish. The village had on its green what was reputed to be the largest elm tree in England. With a girth of 22 feet 6 inches and a height of 40 metres, the elm was identified by the botanist R. H. Richens as an '' Ulmus × hollandica'' hybrid, before it succumbed to Dutch Elm Disease in the 1970s. The village features the first aerodrome to be built by the Americans in this country. Work on Andrews Field aerodrome https://andrewsfield.com/ was started in July 1942 and built in under a year. Jay Saling
Battlecross was an American heavy metal band from Canton, Michigan. The band has described their sound as "Blue Collar Thrash Metal". To date, they have released three albums through their label, Metal Blade Records. History The band was founded in 2003 by Tony Asta and Hiran Deraniyagala in Canton, MI, where the childhood best friends and neighbors formed the earliest beginnings of Battlecross while attending Salem High School. Various members came and went. In 2006, vocalist Marshall Wood was hired who brought a new level of aggression ultimately altering the vocal direction of the band. In 2007, drummer Mike Kreger was hired. In 2008 and 2010 respectively, bassist Don Slater and singer Kyle "Gumby" Gunther joined the band, after Marshall's departure for family reasons.
