Salim Saade
Salim Saadeh ( ar, سليم "عبدالله" سعادة; born November 25, 1949) is a politician. He served for third term as a representative for the Greek Orthodox Christians from Koura District (North Governorate, Lebanon) in the Lebanese parliament 2018-2022, respectively in 1992, 2000 and 2018 general elections. He is a prominent member of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party in Lebanon. Early life and education Saadeh was born in Amioun (Koura District, North Governorate, Lebanon), in November 25, 1949, to a Greek Orthodox Christian, yet very secular family. His father, Abdallah Saadeh, was a prominent general physician and general surgeon throughout Lebanon and the Middle East. Michel Aoun
Michel Naim Aoun ( ar, ميشال نعيم عون ; born 30 September 1933) is a Lebanese politician and former military general who served as the President of Lebanon from 31 October 2016 until 30 October 2022. Born in Haret Hreik to a Maronite Christian family, Aoun joined the Military Academy in 1955 and graduated as an artillery officer in the Lebanese Army. In 1984, he became the youngest Commander of the Army, at the age of 49 years. On 22 September 1988 during the fourth phase of the Lebanese Civil War, the departing President Amine Gemayel appointed him as the interim Prime Minister of a Military Government, after the parliament failed to elect a new president, and dismissed the current government headed by the Acting Prime Minister Selim Hoss. Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud ( ar, عبد العزيز بن عبد الرحمن آل سعود, ʿAbd al ʿAzīz bin ʿAbd ar Raḥman Āl Suʿūd; 15 January 1875Ibn Saud's birth year has been a source of debate. The 17 October Protests, commonly referred to as the 17 October Revolution () is a series of civil protests taking place in Lebanon. These national protests were triggered by planned taxes on gasoline, tobacco, and VoIP calls on applications such as WhatsApp, but quickly expanding into a country-wide condemnation of sectarian rule, the stagnation of the economy, unemployment (which reached 46% in 2018), endemic corruption in the public sector, legislation that was perceived to shield the ruling class from accountability (such as banking secrecy) and failures of the government to provide basic services such as electricity, water, and sanitation.
