Salih Mustafa
Salih Mustafa also known by the nickname "Cali", (born 1 January 1972) is a former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) war commander from the Guerilla BIA unit, the former intelligence chief of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF). In 2022, he was convicted of war crimes in Kosovo Special Court and sentenced to 26 years imprisonment. Early life and education Mustafa was born on 1 January 1972 in the city of Pristina in Kosovo, then part of Yugoslavia. He completed studies in economics and following the end of the Kosovo War, he served as an adviser in the Kosovar Ministry of Defence. Kosovo War During the Kosovo War, Mustafa served with the KLA as a commander of a guerilla unit operating in the Llap region of Kosovo. In 2021, Mustafa was charged for war crimes for acts committed against Kosovo Albanian civilians detained in the detention compound in Zllash in April 1999. Kosovo Specialist Chambers
The Kosovo Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor's Office (KSC & SPO) is a court of Kosovo, located in The Hague (Netherlands), hosting four ''Specialist Chambers'' and the ''Specialist Prosecutors Office'', which may perform their activities either at the KRSJI or in Kosovo. The court is currently set up for delegating the trials of the crimes committed by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), an ethnic-Albanian paramilitary organisation which sought the separation of Kosovo from Yugoslavia during the 1990s and the eventual creation of a Greater Albania. The alleged crimes concern the period 1998–2000, during and at the end of the Kosovo war and directed afterwards against "ethnic minorities and political opponents". Llap (region)
Llap Region ( sq, Krahina e Llapit, lit=Region of Llap; sr, Лабско поље, Labsko polje, lit=Plain of Lab) is a region located in the north-eastern part of Kosovo. Llap in the broadest sense includes the watershed of the Llap river. The Lab water collection begins in the mount of Kopaonik in the north and west, and ends by joining the Sitnica river in Lumadh, municipality of Vushtrri, in the north-west of Prishtina. The topographic watershed of the Lab covers an area of 945.4 km. This area approximately corresponds to the administrative territory of the municipality of Podujevo in the current division of Kosovo.
