Sakoltee Phattiyakul
Sakoltee Phattiyakul ( th, สกลธี ภัททิยกุล; born October 14, 1977) is a Thai politician and activist. He was one of leaders of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) during the 2013–2014 Thai political crisis, 2013–2014 mass protests. He used to be a deputy Bangkok governor between 2018 and 2022. Family and education Sakoltee, who goes by the nickname "Jum" (จ้ำ), was born in military family, his father, Gen Winai Phattiyakul, was a secretary-general of the Council for National Security (CNS) and classmate with Gen Prawit Wongsuwan and Gen Sonthi Boonyaratglin. His mother, Sasinee (née Chaloryu), is a niece of ADm Sangad Chaloryu, head of the National Administrative Reform Council (NARC), a military junta that ruled Thailand from late 1970s to early 1980s. The Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand ( th, เครื่องราชอิสริยาภรณ์อันมีเกียรติยศยิ่งมงกุฎไทย; ) is a Thai order, established in 1869 by King Rama V of The Kingdom of Siam (now Thailand) for Thais, the royal family, governmental employees, and foreign dignitaries for their outstanding services to the Kingdom of Thailand. The Faculty of Law, Thammasat University ( th, คณะนิติศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์; ) is an administrative agency of the Thai government, being an academic faculty attached to Thammasat University, Ministry of Education (Thailand), Ministry of Education. Pheu Thai Party
The Pheu Thai Party (PTP; th, พรรคเพื่อไทย, lit=For Thais Party, , ) is the third incarnation of a Thai political party founded by former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The Pheu Thai Party was founded on 20 September 2007, as an anticipated replacement for the People's Power Party (PPP), which the Constitutional Court of Thailand dissolved less than three months later after finding party members guilty of electoral fraud. The People's Power Party was itself a replacement for Thaksin's original Thai Rak Thai Party (TRT), dissolved by the Court in May 2007 for violation of electoral laws. , Pheu Thai had 22,771 members. 2011 Thai General Election
General elections were held in Thailand on 3 July 2011 to elect the 24th House of Representatives. The protestors of the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) or " Red Shirts" who occupied downtown Bangkok in April and May 2010 had demanded new elections. The government's counter-proposal to hold elections on 14 November 2010 was rejected by them and was followed by a violent crackdown when the protestors refused to disperse. Elections were finally announced in May 2011. With a turnout of 75.03%, populist Pheu Thai Party won a majority with 265 seats. Its leader Yingluck Shinawatra became the first female prime minister in the history of Thailand. The Democrat Party therefore became the main opposition party with a total of 159 seats. Boonyod Sookthinthai ( th, บุญยอด สุขถิ่นไทย; born September 17, 1965) is a Thai politician, former journalist, news anchor, TV host, and DJ. Sookthinthai was born in a Thai family of Chinese descent. Graduated senior high school from Triam Udom Suksa School and received a bachelor's and master's degree in Communication Arts from Chulalongkorn University. He is known for being a news anchor on several television stations including as a TV and radio host for many years. He was stripped of his role as a Channel 3 news anchor in February 2006, which he believes was due to his criticisms of then- prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra. Since then, so he entered the political circle fully with starting from being elected as Bangkok senator in the April 2006 senator election, the second senator election in Thai politics. 2007 Thai General Election
General elections were held in Thailand on 23 December. They were the first elections after the Council for National Security, a military junta, had overthrown Thailand's elected government and abrogated the constitution on September 19, 2006. The junta had canceled general elections scheduled for October 2006 and promised new elections within 12 months. The Constitutional Tribunal then outlawed the Thai Rak Thai party, the largest political party in Thailand, and banned TRT executives from contesting in the elections for five years. After their political party had been dissolved, the former TRT members regrouped under the band of People's Power Party (PPP) led by Samak Sundaravej, the seasoned politician. Following its formation, the junta issued a classified order to suppress the activities of the PPP and to frame it for lèse majesté.
