Saklon Amada
''Saklon Amada'' is a 2010 Manipuri film directed by L. Surjakanta and produced by Guruaribam John Sharma. The movie is a production of Narayan Sharma Films (N.S. Films). Produced with a vision of women empowerment, the film stars Kaiku Rajkumar, Maya Choudhury, Thingom Pritam and Daisy Kh. in the lead roles. The movie was premiered at Shankar Talkies, Lamphel in February 2010. It was later released at Pratap Talkies, Paona Bazar and many other theatres of Manipur. The film bagged the Best Feature Film Award at the 1st MANIFA 2012 organised by Sahitya Seva Samiti, Kakching. Synopsis The film narrates the story of ''Memthoi'' who faces continuous harassments from her immoral husband and her mother-in-law. She returns to her parental home and raises her daughter there. ''Ningthem'' stands strongly for ''Memthoi'' and constantly insist her to start a new life together. She has a soft corner for ''Ningthem'' but does not yield to his insistence. Kaiku Rajkumar
Rajkumar Kaiku (born ) is an Indian actor, who has appeared in Manipuri films. Kaiku made his film debut with the 2003 romantic film ''Kalpana''. He has appeared in more than 400 Manipuri films. Some of his films are ''Ta-Tomba the Great'', ''Nungshit Mapi'', and ''Mami''. In addition to films, he has also worked in ''Shumang Kumhei'' including ''Border''. He contested the 2019 Parliamentary election in the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha Constituency as an independent candidate. In February 2022, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Early life and background ''Kaiku'' was born on 3 January 1974 in Dimapur, Nagaland to RK Modhusana and RK Ongbi Reba. He passed his HSLC (High School Leaving Certificate) Examination undertaken by Board of Secondary Education, Manipur from Bengoon High School, Madrassa in the year 1995. Maya Choudhury
Maya Choudhury (born 3 March) is an Indian actress who appears in Manipuri films. Some of her famous films are ''Basantagee Nongallamdai'' trilogy, ''Momon Meenok'', ''21st Century's Kunti'', ''Nungshibee Takhellei'' and ''Tomthin Shija''. In 2019 movie '' Pandam Amada'', she was cast as the main protagonist's mother. The film was selected for 18th International Dhaka Film Festival 2019, 18th Third Eye Asian Film Festival 2019, Mumbai and Tokyo Lift-Off Film Festival 2020. Career Maya Choudhury first appeared on screen in the celluloid film ''Aroiba Bidaai'' (1999). She won the Miss Manipur 2nd runners up Title along with five subtitles in 1998. The Cinema of Manipur is the film industry based in Manipur, India. It includes not only Meitei language movies but all the films made in different languages of the different communities in Manipur. The Manipuri film industry was born when '' Matamgi Manipur'' was released on 9 April 1972. Before this, there were many attempts to make a film in the state, the most significant being ''Mainu Pemcha'' in 1948 which was left incomplete due to various problems.
