Sajjad Esteki
Sajjad Esteki ( fa, سجاد استکی, born 23 April 1990) is an Iranian handball player who currently plays for CSM Bacău and the Iran men's national handball team. Esteki was the top scorer in the 2009 Youth World Handball Championship with 65 goals. He repeated the same performance in 2011, being top scorer in the Junior World Handball Championship with 84 goals. CSM Bacău (men's Handball)
Clubul Sportiv Municipal Bacău, commonly known as CSM Bacău, is a men's handball team from Bacău, Romania. The club was founded in 1962 as ''Dinamo Bacău'' and was also known for a period as ''Știința Municipal Dedeman Bacău'', due to sponsorship reasons. The club's best performances are three 2nd places in the Liga Națională, in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and two 3rd places in 1968 and 1980. The team is the handball section of CSM Bacău (Bacău Municipality Sports Club). The club plays its home matches in Sala Sporturilor from Bacău, a sports hall with a capacity of 2,000 people. The Romanian Handball League, commonly known as Liga Națională or more recently as Liga Zimbrilor, is the men's top Romanian professional Team handball, handball league. The league comprises fourteen teams. History This sport was first played in Romania in 1920. After a visit in Germany, a few physical education teachers introduced this sport in their classes. The ''Liga Națională'' was founded in 1933 (in 11 players) and in 1958 in the current format with 7 players. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end.
