Sainte-Béatrix is a municipality in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada, part of the Matawinie Regional County Municipality. History In 1736, Lord Jean d'Ailleboust d'Argenteuil receives a lordship that will bear his name. It won't be until 1864 that the municipality of Sainte-Béatrix be officially created by splitting away from the municipality of Sainte-Mélanie. Louise-Amélie Panet and her husband William Bent Berczy are considered to be the founders of Sainte-Béatrix. Louise-Amélie Panet
Louise-Amélie Panet (January 27, 1789 – March 24, 1862) was a French Canadian artist, educator and writer living in Lower Canada. Life The daughter of judge Pierre-Louis Panet and Marie-Anne Cerré, she was born in Quebec City and was educated with the Quebec Ursulines and in Montreal. She continued her studies in art with Jeanne-Charlotte Allamand. In 1819, she married William Bent Berczy, Allamand's son. The couple moved to Amherstburg in Upper Canada and then to Quebec City. In 1832, the couple inherited the and moved there. Panet died in Sainte-Mélanie at the age of 73. Her work is included in the collections of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, the Royal Ontario Museum, the Université de Montréal and the Montreal Public Library. Joliette is a city in southwest Quebec, Canada. It is approximately northeast of Montreal, on the L'Assomption River and is the seat of the Regional County Municipality of Joliette. The 2021 Canadian census was a detailed enumeration of the Canadian population with a reference date of May 11, 2021. It follows the 2016 Canadian census, which recorded a population of 35,151,728. The overall response rate was 98%, which is slightly lower than the response rate for the 2016 census. It recorded a population of 36,991,981, a 5.2% increase from 2016. The census was conducted by Statistics Canada, and was contactless as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The agency had considered delaying the census until 2022. The 2016 Canadian census was an enumeration of Canadian residents, which counted a population of 35,151,728, a change from its 2011 population of 33,476,688. The census, conducted by Statistics Canada, was Canada's seventh quinquennial census. The official census day was May 10, 2016. Census web access codes began arriving in the mail on May 2, 2016.
