St Brigid's GAA Club (Irish: Cumann Naomh Bríd) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Castleknock, Fingal, Ireland which serves Castleknock, Clonsilla, Blanchardstown and Corduff. Its main grounds are at Russell Park, and it also has grounds in Castleknock at Beech Park and College Fort. The club supports 70 teams, from nursery level (four- to seven-year-olds) to adults, in hurling, football, camogie, women's football, handball and badminton. In 2003, St Brigid's GAA won their first Dublin Senior Football Championship and Leinster Senior Club Football Championship. The club won their second Dublin Senior Football Championship in 2011, but lost the year's Leinster Final to Garrycastle in an injury-time free goal. Tony McEntee
Tony McEntee (born 30 June 1977) is a Gaelic football manager and former player. He has managed the senior Sligo county team since 2020. McEntee played for the Crossmaglen Rangers club and at senior level for the Armagh county team. He won All-Ireland titles as a player and joint-manager of Crossmaglen Rangers and an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship and National Football League title while playing for Armagh. Career As a player McEntee won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship in 2002. McEntee co-led (with Gareth O'Neill) Crossmaglen Rangers to consecutive All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship titles in 2011 and 2012, alongside three Armagh Senior Football Championships and three Ulster Senior Club Football Championships. Hurling
Hurling ( ga, iománaíocht, ') is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic Irish origin, played by men. One of Ireland's native Gaelic games, it shares a number of features with Gaelic football, such as the field and goals, the number of players and much terminology. The same game played by women is called camogie ('), which shares a common Gaelic root. The objective of the game is for players to use an ash wood stick called a hurley (in Irish a ', pronounced or ) to hit a small ball called a ' between the opponent's goalposts either over the crossbar for one point or under the crossbar into a net guarded by a goalkeeper for three points. Féile Na NGael
Féile na nGael (; Irish for "Festival of the Gaels") is an annual tournament comprising the sports of hurling, camogie and handball organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association. Its stated aim is to bond communities, forge friendships, provide educational opportunities and unearth new leaders.
