Saint-Éphrem-de-Beauce is a municipality in the Municipalité régionale de comté de Beauce-Sartigan in Quebec, Canada. It is part of the Chaudière-Appalaches region and the population was 2,567 as of the Canadian census of 2011. Adstock, Quebec
Adstock is a municipality in the Les Appalaches Regional County Municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada. Its population in the Canada 2016 Census was 2,806. Adstock was created on February 14, 2001, after the amalgamation of Saint-Méthode-de-Frontenac, Quebec, Saint-Méthode-de-Frontenac and Sacré-Coeur-de-Marie-Partie-Sud, Quebec, Sacré-Coeur-de-Marie-Partie-Sud. On October 24, 2001, Sainte-Anne-du-Lac, Chaudière-Appalaches, Quebec, Sainte-Anne-du-Lac joined the new municipality. Adstock was named after the township in which the former municipality of Saint-Méthode-de-Frontenac lies. The township was itself named after the village of Adstock in Buckinghamshire, England. Saint-Victor is a municipality in the Beauce-Centre Regional County Municipality in the centre of the Beauce area, part of the Chaudière-Appalaches administrative region in Quebec, Canada. Saint-Victor's population is 2,313. History The area was first settled as Tring township municipality, established in 1804. Colonization peaked between 1834 and 1838. Settlers came from the neighboring areas of Saint-François (Beauceville), Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce, Lauzon, and Bellechasse. The Tring township municipality was created in 1845, dissolved in 1847, and reestablished in 1855. In 1864 it split into the Saint-Victor-de-Tring and Saint-Éphrem-de-Tring municipalities. Saint-Victor-de-Tring was named after a Catholic parish, which was established in 1848 and became canonical in 1852. Woodstock En Beauce
Woodstock en Beauce was a yearly weekend-long music festival held in St-Ephrem-de-Beauce, Quebec, Canada. It was created in 1995 with the intention to re-create the atmosphere of the original Woodstock Festival in 1969, emphasizing on the atmosphere of peace and fun. The first edition of the festival attracted about 5,000 people, but it now attracts crowds of over 78,000 people. It has been nominated three times at the ADISQ awards in the category for the event of the year. On October 17, 2014, it was announced that the 2014 edition would be the final one, putting an end to the festival after 20 years. On February 19, 2015, it was revealed on their Facebook page that the music festival will make a comeback in 2016. However, there will be no festival in 2015, making it the first year since the foundation of the event to be skipped.
