Saint-Médard-en-Jalles
Saint-Médard-en-Jalles (; oc, Sent Medard de Jalas) is a commune in the Gironde department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. Located west-northwest of the city of Bordeaux, it is the fifth-largest suburb of the city and a member of the Bordeaux Métropole. Bordeaux Métropole is the ''métropole'', an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Bordeaux. It is located in the center of the Gironde department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in South West France. It represents about half of the department's population.
