Saint-Anselme is a village in the Bellechasse Regional County Municipality, part of the Chaudi̬re-Appalaches administrative region. Louis-Napoléon Larochelle
Louis-Napol̩on LaRochelle (November 14, 1834 РOctober 27, 1890) was a manufacturer, railway contractor and political figure in Quebec. He represented Dorchester in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1871 to 1878 and from 1886 to 1888 as a Conservative. He was born in Saint-Anselme, Lower Canada, the son of Sim̩on Gautron, dit Larochelle and Sophie Pomerleau. LaRochelle was educated at the Petit S̩minaire de Qu̩bec. He took over the operation of his father's businesses when his father died in 1859. In 1876, he married Georgiana Plants. He served on the board of directors for the Levis and Kennebec Railway with Joseph-Godric Blanchet, Hector-Louis Langevin and Christian Pozer; he was later involved in a bitter and public dispute with Charles Armstrong Scott about who was to blame for the railway's financial failure. Saint-Henri, Chaudière-Appalaches, Quebec
Saint-Henri is a municipality of 5,611 people, 20 km south of Lévis, in the Bellechasse Regional County Municipality. It is sometimes known as Saint-Henri-de-Lévis, and was historically known as Saint-Henri-de-Lauzon. It used to belong to the former Desjardins Regional County Municipality, but decided to join Bellechasse in 2000 when the new city of Lévis was created. Saint-Henri felt it did not belong with a mostly urban RCM, and would fit better with Bellechasse, which has a largely rural base. Now, Saint-Henri is the biggest town in this RCM, followed by Saint-Anselme and Sainte-Claire. The Etchemin River crosses the municipality and one hydroelectric dam is found in Saint-Henri. Bellechasse Regional County Municipality is a regional county municipality in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec. The county seat is Saint-Lazare-de-Bellechasse. Saint-Lazare was chosen as the county seat because of its central location. Bellechasse is a provincial electoral riding in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada which elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes a section of the city of Lévis as well as Saint-Henri, Saint-Anselme, Lac-Etchemin, Sainte-Claire, Beaumont, Saint-Charles-de-Bellechasse, Saint-Raphaël and Saint-Gervais. The Boyer River takes its source in the municipality.
