Saint-Adelphe, Quebec
Saint-Adelphe () is a Parish municipality of Quebec, Canada, located in the Mékinac Regional County Municipality, in the Batiscanie area (except watershed Charest river, located in the East) and in the administrative region of Mauricie. The territory of the municipality was part of the lordship of Sainte-Anne which was owned by Mr. John Hale, and Mr. Price. The magnificent Batiscan river in the north-south bisects the town. The main village developed on the east side of the river. In the story, on the west bank a small village formed around covered bridges spanning the Batiscan River and Pierre-Paul River. Forestry and agriculture were the two main drivers of the economy of the 19th and 20th century. At the end of the 20th century, many SMEs (small and medium size enterprises) are located there. Batiscanie is the watershed of the Batiscan River, located in the center of the province of Quebec, Canada, covering 4690 km² on the North Shore of the St. Lawrence River. The area covered by Batiscanie is 53% in the administrative région of Mauricie and 47% in the administrative region of the Capitale-Nationale. The territory of the Batiscanie is 87% forest areas (especially in the Middle and Upper Batiscanie) and 7% rivers, lakes and wetlands. Louis-François Richer Laflèche
Louis-François Laflèche, (September 4, 1818 – July 14, 1898), was a Catholic bishop of the diocese of Trois-Rivières, in the province of Quebec, Canada. Early life and career He was born on September 4, 1818, in the village of Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade to Louis-Modeste Richer dit Laflèche and Marie-Anne Richer dit Laflèche (née Joubin dit Boisvert). His family held the secondary surname of Laflèche because their ancestor, Jean Richer, was from an area in France called La Flèche, near Anjou. Laflèche studied at the Nicolet Seminary College in Nicolet, Quebec from 1831 to 1839. Following his education, he taught classics and science while continuing courses in theology. He was ordained a priest on January 7, 1844. In 1844, he headed a mission near the Red River of the North. 2021 Canadian Census
The 2021 Canadian census was a detailed enumeration of the Canadian population with a reference date of May 11, 2021. It follows the 2016 Canadian census, which recorded a population of 35,151,728. The overall response rate was 98%, which is slightly lower than the response rate for the 2016 census. It recorded a population of 36,991,981, a 5.2% increase from 2016. Planning Consultation on census program content was from September 11 to December 8, 2017. The census was conducted by Statistics Canada, and was contactless as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The agency had considered delaying the census until 2022. Pierre-Paul River
The Pierre-Paul River flows into the Mékinac Regional County Municipality, in the administrative area of the Mauricie, in the province of Quebec, Canada, through these three municipalities of the Batiscanie: Saint-Tite, Sainte-Thècle and Saint-Adelphe. Course This river flowing over rooted at the mouth of Pierre-Paul Lake, located in Rang Saint-Pierre, in the eastern part of the territory of Saint-Tite.
