Sailor Chizhik
''Sailor Chizhik'' (russian: Матрос Чижик, Matros Chizhik) is a 1955 Soviet drama film directed by . Plot Having received an injury during the exercises, the sailor Chizhik is sent by the orderly to the house of Captain Luzgin. Wife of the captain of a young beautiful woman is very cruel to the orderly, constantly humiliating him, counting a servant. The only joy in the life of the sailor is communication with the little sadchuk Shura, a kind, fair and sensitive boy. Once, unable to withstand the insults of the mistress, the orderly decides to flee. It is stopped only by an unforeseen circumstance: the heaviest inflammation of the lungs in a child. A vigilant nurse, not for a moment leaving Shura, sits Chizhik at his bed, literally fighting with death. Ivan Petrovich Ryzhov (russian: Ива́н Петро́вич Рыжо́в; 25 January 1913, Ramensky District, Zelyonaya Sloboda, Bronnitsky Uyezd, Moscow Governorate — 15 March 2004, Moscow) was a Soviet and Russian film and theater actor. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1980). Biography Ryzhov was born on 25 January 1913 in the village of Ramensky District, Zelyonaya Sloboda, in the Bronnitsky Uyezd of the Moscow Governorate of the Russian Empire. In 1935, he graduated from the School of the Moscow Theater of the Revolution and became an actor of the theater. He made his film debut in the role of Captain Soroka in the ''Kubans''. Ivan Ryzhov died on the morning of 15 March 2004 in a Moscow hospital. According to his daughter, it happened due to negligence of the medical staff: the actor had fallen and cut his hand. Valentina Petrovna Telegina (russian: Валенти́на Петро́вна Теле́гина; 1915 — 1979) was a Soviet and Russian actress. Biography Telegina was born on February 23, 1915, in Novocherkassk, capital of Don Cossacks (now the Rostov Oblast). In 1937, she graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Performing Arts, workshop of Sergei Gerasimov. Since 1937 the actress of Saint Petersburg Lensoviet Theatre, in 1940-1941 of the Baltic Fleet Theatre. In the cinema since 1934. She had her first big role as Motya Kotenkova in Sergei Gerasimov's film '' Komsomolsk''. After the war she moved to Moscow, working at the Gorky Film Studio from 1946.
