The Laser Radial or ILCA 6 is a popular one-design class of small sailing dinghy, originally built by Laser Performance. It is a singlehanded boat, meaning that it is sailed by one person. The Laser Radial is a variant of the Laser standard, with shorter mast and reduced sail area, allowing light sailors to sail in heavy winds. The International Class is recognised by World Sailing. Pedro Miguel Gaspar Amaral (born 25 August 1997) is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Super League Greece club Lamia. Alexandre Dias Paradeda (born 24 November 1972 in Porto Alegre), also known as Xandi or Careca, is a Brazilian sailor who competed in the Summer Olympic Games, the Pan American Games, the South American Games, the Snipe World Championships and the 470 World Championships. Paradeda first major success came in 1987, when he won the Brazilian National Championship of the Optimist class. The Snipe is an American sailing dinghy that was designed by William F. Crosby as a one design racer and first built in 1931. The boat is a World Sailing recognized international class. Sailboatdata.com summarizes the design as "one of the most popular sailing dinghies ever. (In its heyday, the largest sailboat racing class). Origins in the US. Paul Jeffrey Foerster (born November 19, 1963, in Rangely, Colorado) is an American sailor. He received All-American honors three times from the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association sailing for the University of Texas at Austin and competed at four Olympic Games in sailing: 1988, 1992, 2000, and 2004, winning total of three Olympic medals during his career. In the Flying Dutchman (FD) class he was successful with Stephen Bourdow (Silver 1992), and then in the 470 class with Bob Merrick (silver, 2000) and Kevin Burnham (gold, 2004).
