Saigon Water Park is a former water park in Thủ Đức District, Ho Chi Minh City , population_density_km2 = 4,292 , population_density_metro_km2 = 697.2 , population_demonym = Saigonese , blank_name = GRP (Nominal) , blank_info = 2019 , blank1_name = – Total , blank1_ .... It was the first park of its kind built in the city. The park was situated on Saigon River. It existed from 1997 to 2006. Financial difficulties The park encountered financial difficulty after the opening of a number of other competitor water parks in Ho Chi Minh City. Investors are in the process of re-zoning the land from leisure to residential. All of the water park's equipment has been sold and removed. Many guide-books and travel websites still refer tourists to this tourist attraction, although it has closed. Thủ Đức (urban District)
Thủ Đức is a former urban district (''quận'') in the northeast of Hồ Chí Minh City, Vietnam. In 1997, the southern part of Thủ Đức was divided to become District 2 and District 9. In 2010, the district had a population of 455,899. It covered an area of 48 km2. Thủ Đức district was merged with District 2 and District 9 again to become Thu Duc City in January 2021, by Standing Committee of the National Assembly's approval. Saigon River
The Saigon River ( vi, Sông Sài Gòn) is a river located in southern Vietnam that rises near Phum Daung in southeastern Cambodia, flows south and south-southeast for about and empties into the Soài Rạp, which in its turn empties into the South China Sea some northeast of the Mekong Delta.
