Birbal Sahni
Birbal Sahni Royal Society, FRS (14 November 1891 – 10 April 1949) was an Indian paleobotanist who studied the fossils of the Indian subcontinent. He also took an interest in geology and archaeology. He founded what is now the Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany at Lucknow in 1946. His major contributions were in the study of the fossil plants of India and in plant evolution. He was also involved in the establishment of Indian science education and served as the President of the National Academy of Sciences, India and as an Honorary President of the International Botanical Congress, Stockholm. Bhisham Sahni (8 August 1915 – 11 July 2003) was an Indian writer, playwright in Hindi and an actor, most famous for his novel and television screenplay '' Tamas'' ("Darkness, Ignorance"), a powerful and passionate account of the Partition of India. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan for literature in 1998, and Sahitya Akademi Fellowship in 2002. He was the younger brother of the noted Hindi film actor, Balraj Sahni. Baljit Sahni (born 12 January 1987) is an Indian former professional footballer who played as a forward. Career JCT Sahni had played for JCT for 5 years. In the 2009–10 season he scored the first hat trick of the season against Shillong Lajong. On 11 November 2009 however Sahni was seriously injured in a bike accident along with teammate Sunil Kumar Thakur in Margao, Goa while the team were preparing for an upcoming match against Salgaocar in the I-League. Khatri is a caste of the Indian subcontinent that is predominantly found in India, but also in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Pritam Singh Sahni
Pritam Singh Sahni, or "Kasad" (1924–2008) was a Punjabi poet from New Delhi, India. Kasad was active in Punjabi Kavi circles. He authored more than 20 books of Punjabi poetry and was also a playwright. Kasad's family moved from Gah, Pakistan during Partition of India in 1947. Although he struggled to support his family and settle in a new place, he was able to write poetry and to participate in gatherings all over India. In 1962, Kasad received a letter of appreciation from Jawaharlal Nehru and, in 1999, he was part of the ''Kavi Darbar'' celebrating the birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Kasad had two sons and four daughters. In 2022, on his 14th death anniversary, Jassi released a track reciting one of his classic poems.
