Sagitta (athletic Club)
Sagitta was a female athletic club in the Netherlands founded by Jan Blankers in 1936. Integrated with Blauw-Wit into Phanos on 1 January 2000. Between 1950 and 1954 the 4 × 100 m relay won five national titles. Sagitta athletes participated in Dutch 4 × 100 m relay in several olympic games. Jan Blankers
Johan "Jan" Blankers (23 April 1904 – 17 July 1977) was a Dutch athlete and coach. He competed in the triple jump at the 1928 Olympics, but failed to reach the final. He won the national title in this event in 1931 and 1932, but later tore an Achilles tendon, which resulted in his retirement and in a slight limping for the rest of his life. In September 1935 Blankers met Fanny Blankers-Koen at an athletic competition. He was impressed by her talent, but also noticed faults in her running technique. He eventually became her coach and married her on 29 August 1940. They had a son Jan (born 20 August 1941) and a daughter Fanny (born 12 February 1946). In 1935, Blankers also became a national athletics coach and prepared the Dutch team to the 1936 Olympics. Soon after he founded a woman's athletics association ''Sagitta'' in Amsterdam to promote sports among women. Franciska Johanna "Ciska" Jansen (born 23 September 1944) is a retired Dutch track and field athlete. She competed at the 1976 Summer Olympics in the long jump and finished in 18th place. Tilly Van Der Zwaard
Tilly van der Zwaard (18 January 1938 – 6 February 2019) was a middle distance runner from the Netherlands. At the 1962 European Athletics Championships in Belgrade she won a bronze medal in the 400 m event, behind Maria Itkina of the Soviet Union and Joy Grieveson of Great Britain. Van der Zwaard twice represented her native country in the 400 m event at the Summer Olympics, in 1964 and 1968. Her best achievement was sixth place in 1964.
