Saga DAB radio (Saga Radio London Ltd) was a UK digital DAB radio station, supported by Saga Radio Group. The line up featured a variety of presenters including David Hamilton, Don Durbridge, David Allan, Jenny Hanley and Tony Myatt. Music played on the station was easy and melodic from the previous six decades. Presenters and some station resources were shared with PrimeTime Radio. Saga Radio (digital) won Best Digital Terrestrial Station at the 2003 Sony Radio Awards ceremony. Saga Radio Group

The first Saga station was launched in the West Midlands on 16 October 2001 and was subsequently followed by two others based in the East Midlands and Glasgow. The network won a fourth licence for the north east in 2006, but was sold in December of that year to Guardian Media Group, which decided to re-launch Saga along with its Smooth FM stations as Smooth Radio. David Hamilton (Radio DJ)
David Hamilton (born 10 September 1938) is an English radio and television presenter. Since his broadcasting career began in 1959, Hamilton has hosted over 12,000 radio shows and more than 1,000 TV shows. He is usually known as 'Diddy David Hamilton', a name given to him by the comedian Ken Dodd. Early life Hamilton attended Glastonbury Road Grammar School at St Helier in Surrey until the age of 17. While at school he became a columnist on the weekly national magazine ''Soccer Star''. He performed national service in the Royal Air Force from 1959. Don Durbridge
Don Durbridge (13 January 1939 – 9 June 2012) was a UK radio presenter who started his career on the BBC Light Programme, and subsequently worked on the British Forces Broadcasting Service, and on BBC Radio 2,. He also broadcast for many years on BBC Radio Medway, BBC Radio Kent and Invicta Sound in Kent, and latterly on PrimeTime and Saga DAB radio. On PrimeTime he introduced the late night slot, ''In Mellow Mood'', until the station's demise in 2006. He was also the regular matchday announcer for Fulham Football Club in the mid-1970s and for Gillingham Football Club during the 1980s. Early years Durbridge's father served in the British Army during the Second World War and died in a Japanese prisoner of war camp in 1945. His family moved to England soon afterwards. David Allan (broadcaster)
David Allan (born 7 August 1940, in Bury, Lancashire) is an English broadcaster and journalist, best known for his work as a television continuity announcer and radio presenter. Radio career Educated at Bury Grammar School, Allan spent nine years working in theatre as a stage manager before he began broadcasting on the offshore radio, offshore station Radio 390 in 1966. In 1968, he joined BBC Radio 2 to present country music programmes, a role he occupied for much of the 1970s and to a lesser extent in the 1980s, also presenting the station's early Sunday morning show from 1989–91 and deputising for the likes of Ray Moore (broadcaster), Ray Moore, Chris Stuart and Terry Wogan. Jenny Hanley (born 15 August 1947) is an English actress. She remains best known for being one of the presenters of the ITV children's magazine programme ''Magpie''. Early life and education Hanley is the daughter of actors Dinah Sheridan and Jimmy Hanley. After her education at schools in Southern England and in Switzerland, she trained as a nanny and did modelling work. Through her mother she is of Russian-Jewish and German descent. PrimeTime Radio was a national UK radio station. It was once part of Saga Radio Group although it became independent in 2004. It operated as a sister station to Saga Digital radio. The line up featured a variety of presenters including David Hamilton, Don Durbridge, David Allan, Dave Cash, Gavin McCoy, Tony Myatt and Sheila Tracy (who had been the main proponent of big band music on BBC Radio 2). Music played on the station was easy and melodic from the past 6 decades. Sony Radio Academy Awards
The Radio Academy Awards, started in 1983, were the most prestigious awards in the British radio industry. For most of their existence, they were run by ZAFER Associates, but in latter years were brought under the control of The Radio Academy. The awards were generally referred to by the name of their first sponsor, Sony, as The Sony Awards, The Sony Radio Awards or variations. In August 2013, Sony announced the end of its sponsorship agreement with The Radio Academy after 32 years. Consequently, the awards were named simply ''The Radio Academy Awards''. Roger De Haan
Sir Roger Michael De Haan, Commander of the Order of the British Empire, CBE, Deputy Lieutenant, DL (born October 1948, Northampton) is the son of the late Sidney De Haan, who created the Saga Group, Saga group of companies, best known for selling holidays to the over-50s market. De Haan took over Saga in 1984 when his father retired, and then ran the company with his brother Peter for a further twenty years, launching Saga-branded radio stations to accompany the group's holidays and financial services. He chose to leave the business in 2004, selling the entire Saga Group (which included insurance and holiday businesses) to a management buyout for £1.35 billion, although he continued to run some of the radio stations himself.
