Safe Harbour (TV Series)
''Safe Harbour'' is a four-part Australian thriller drama series first broadcast on SBS on 7 March 2018. The series follows a group of friends who travel from Brisbane on a sailing holiday of a lifetime to Indonesia, who cross paths with a fishing boat overloaded with asylum seekers en route to Australia, which alters their lives forever. Production It is made by Matchbox Pictures, directed by Glendyn Ivin and written by Belinda Chayko, Matt Cameron and Phil Enchelmaier, and based on an original idea of Enchelmaier and Simon Kennedy. The series was produced Stephen Corvini, with Sue Masters as executive producer. Release The series was first broadcast in Australia on SBS on 7 March 2018. Outside Australia, the series was made available for streaming on Hulu in the United States, and was broadcast on BBC Four in the United Kingdom from 2 February 2019. Matt Cameron (born 1969) is an Australian playwright, screenwriter and director, born and based in Melbourne. Andrea Moor
Andrea Moor is a Brisbane-based actor known for with roles in theatre, film and television. She is also a stage director and coordinator of actor training at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). Early career to mid-2000s Moor was born in Melbourne, raised in Queensland and moved to Sydney in 1979. At 19 she travelled to London to study at East 15 and returned to Sydney after a year. She enrolled at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) and graduated in 1985. Pacharo Mzembe is an Australian actor. He has performed on stage, in several television series and in feature films. Early life Mzembe's parents originate from Malawi, but he was born in Zimbabwe. He migrated to Australia at the age of six to the state of Queensland. RTÉ2 is an Irish free-to-air television channel operated by public service broadcaster RTÉ. It was launched in 1978 as the Republic of Ireland's second television channel. History In the 1970s, the Irish government considered three options for the introduction of a second television service: the re-transmission of BBC1 Northern Ireland; authorization of an independent commercial service; or charging RTÉ with the establishment of a second national channel. It was the last of these that was finally chosen. The channel—only the second in the Republic—began transmissions at 20:00 on 2 November 1978, opening with a broadcast of a gala ceremony from Cork Opera House. Owing to a technical error, audio from BBC2 was played during the countdown instead of the proper soundtrack.
