Nakhon Si Thammarat Municipality ( th, เทศบาลนครนครศรีธรรมราช, ; from Pali ''Nagara Sri Dhammaraja'') is a municipality (''thesaban nakhon'') in Southern Thailand, capital of Nakhon Si Thammarat province and Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat district. It is about south of Bangkok, on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula. The city was the administrative center of southern Thailand during most of its history. Originally a coastal city, silting moved the coastline away from the city. Rajadamnern Stadium ( th, สนามมวยราชดำเนิน; ), also spelled ''Ratchadamnoen'', is a sporting arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Along with Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Rajadamnern is one of the two main stadiums for modern muay Thai. It hosts fights every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. The stadium has its own ranking system and championship titles up to middleweight (160 lbs). History In 1941, the prime minister of Thailand, Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram, gave orders to build a national boxing stadium on Rajadamnern Avenue. Impresse Italiane All' Estero-Oriente won the construction rights, and the 258,900 baht project foundation stone was laid on 1 March 1941. Due to the lack of construction supplies during the World War II, the project was halted until August 1945. When construction resumed, it took only four months to complete it. Rafi Bohic (born July 9, 1991) is a French Muay Thai kickboxer who lives in Thailand. He is the current Lumpinee Stadium Welterweight champion. He is the former WBC Muaythai World Super Lightweight and WMC Junior Welterweight World champion. Muaythai career Rafi discovered Muay Thai at 17 years old after a year of training in the French boxing discipline Savate. He moved to Thailand to the Singpatong gym in 2012 inspired by Damien Alamos. Rafi Bohic won the WBC Muaythai Super Lightweight title with a decision win over Aranchai Kiatpatarphan during the Best Of Siam 8 event. Bohic won the Lumpini Welterweight belt for the first time in June 2017, with a decision win over Pongsiri P.K.Saenchaimuaythaigym. Superlek Kiatmookao (ซุปเปอร์เล็ก เกียรติหมู่9) (born 6 November 1995) is a Thai Muay Thai fighter originally from Buriram in the northeast of Thailand. He is the current ONE Kickboxing Flyweight World Champion, he is also former two weight Lumpinee Stadium champion and the former WBC Muaythai Super featherweight World champion.
