Saeed Ahmad Palanpuri
Saeed Ahmad Palanpuri (also written as Saʻīd Aḥmad Pālanpūrī) (1940 – 19 May 2020), was an Indian Sunni Muslim scholar and author who served as Shaykh al-Hadith and Principal of Darul Uloom Deoband. A number of his books are required readings in Darul Uloom Deoband. Biography Palanpuri was born in 1940 in Kaleda village, Vadgam then in the Palanpur State. He studied at the Mazahir Uloom and then attended the Darul Uloom Deoband, where he graduated in traditional dars-e-nizami studies. Palanpuri joined Jamia Ashrafiya in Rander as a teacher in 1965 and taught there for about ten years. He was appointed as a teacher of Darul Uloom Deoband in 1973 at the recommendation of Manzur Nu'mani. In 2008, he succeeded Naseer Ahmad Khan as Shaykh al-Hadith and also served as Principal. Muhammad Sufyan Qasmi
Muhammad Sufyan Qasmi Siddiqi is an Indian people, Indian Sunni Muslim scholar and current rector of Darul Uloom Waqf, Deoband. Biography Muhammad Sufyan Qasmi was born on 26 September 1954 into the Siddiqi family of Nanauta. His father Muhammad Salim Qasmi was former rector of Darul Uloom Waqf, Deoband, whilst his grandfather Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi remained vice-chancellor of the Darul Uloom Deoband for about half century. Qasmi graduated in traditional dars-e-nizami from the Darul Uloom Deoband in 1975. He studied intermediate classes in private from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). He got a BA and an MA degree from the AMU in private and acquired an MA in Islamic theology from the Al-Azhar University. Mehmood Madani
Mahmood Asad Madani (born 3 March 1964) is an Indian Islamic scholar, activist, politician, and president of the Mahmood faction of the Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind religious organisation. He formerly served as the general secretary of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind (JUH), and as member of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) party in the Rajya Sabha (the Indian upper house) in the state of Uttar Pradesh from 2006 to 2012. Ramadan ( ar, رَمَضَان, ') is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, and the month in which the Quran is believed to be revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Fasting during the month of Ramadan is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The month is spent by Muslims fasting during the daylight hours from dawn to sunset. According to Islam, the Quran was sent down to the lowest heaven during this month, thus being prepared for gradual revelation by Jibreel to Muhammad. Quṭb-ud-Dīn Aḥmad Walīullāh Ibn ʿAbd-ur-Raḥīm Ibn Wajīh-ud-Dīn Ibn Muʿaẓẓam Ibn Manṣūr Al-ʿUmarī Ad-Dehlawī ( ar, ; 1703–1762), commonly known as Shāh Walīullāh Dehlawī (also Shah Wali Allah), was an Islamic scholar seen by his followers as a renewer. Early life Shah Waliullah was born on 21 February 1703 to Shah Abdur Rahim, a prominent Islamic scholar of Delhi. He was known as Shah Waliullah because of his piety. He memorized the ''Qur'an'' by the age of seven. Soon thereafter, he mastered Arabic and Persian letters. He was married at fourteen. By sixteen he had completed the standard curriculum of Hanafi law, theology, geometry, arithmetic and logic. His father, Shah Abdur Rahim was the founder of the Madrasah-i Rahimiyah. Mahmud Hasan Deobandi
Mahmud Hasan Deobandi (also known as Shaykh al-Hind; 1851–1920) was an Indian Muslim scholar and an activist of the Indian independence movement, who co-founded the Jamia Millia Islamia university and launched the Silk Letter Movement for the freedom of India. He was the first student to study at the Darul Uloom Deoband seminary. His teachers included Muhammad Qasim Nanautawi and Mahmud Deobandi, and he was authorized in Sufism by Imdadullah Muhajir Makki and Rashid Ahmad Gangohi. Hasan served as the principal of the Darul Uloom Deoband and founded organisations such as the Jamiatul Ansar and the Nizaratul Maarif.
