Saed Soheili
Saed Soheili ( fa, ساعد سهیلی; born February 19, 1988) is an Iranian actor. He is best known for his acting in ''Guidance Patrol'' (2012), ''A Few Cubic Meters of Love'' (2014), ''Crazy Rook'' (2014) and ''Lottery'' (2018). Early life Soheili was born in Mashhad, the son of Iranian director Saeed Soheili. His brother Sina, and his two sisters, Sara and Saba, are active in the field of cinema, television and theater. Soheili began his work at age 14 with a short role in ''Shab-e Brehne'', directed by his father. He was also behind the scenes in some of his father's work. He has a bachelor of graphic art from the Islamic Azad University. His first professional role was in a play for a television film by Javad Ezzati. Soheili is married to Gloria Hardy, a French actress who appeared in the ''Kimia'' series. Fajr Film Festival
Iran's annual Fajr International Film Festival ( fa, جشنواره بین‌المللی فیلم فجر), or Fajr Film Festival (little: FIFF; fa, جشنواره فیلم فجر), has been held every February and April in Tehran since 1982. The festival is supervised by the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. It takes place on the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. The awards are the Iranian equivalent to the American Academy Awards. The festival has been promoted locally and internationally through television, radio and webinars; speakers have come from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Organizations contributing to the event have included the Farabi Cinema Foundation, Iran film foundation, Press TV, HispanTV and Iran's multi-lingual film channel IFilm. The Hanoi International Film Festival (Vietnamese: Liên hoan phim quốc tế Hà Nội), short form as HANIFF is a biennial film festival held in Hanoi, Vietnam around October or November. Founded in 2010 as Vietnam International Film Festival, it is the first international film festival in Vietnam, which introduces new films of all genres, including feature, short, documentary, animated to the audience. Hafez Awards
Hafez Awards is an annual awards ceremony which is held honoring cinematic achievements in Iranian cinema. The awards, first presented in 1997, are presented by Picture World Magazine (Aka. Donyaye Tassvir in Persian) which makes it to be known also as Donyaye Tassvir Awards. It's the only non-governmental ceremony among the cinematic festivals and awards held in Iran. Mehran Modiri and Asghar Farhadi jointly with 9 statues of Hafez are the record holders of this award. Guidance Patrol (film)
''Guidance Patrol'' ( fa, گشت ارشاد; ) is a 2012 Iranian comedy film directed by Saeed Soheili. The movie depicts three urban working poor young men who impersonate crew of a Guidance Patrol to earn money. Dealing with a national issue, the movie soon sparked controversy in Iran and eventually was pulled from screens. Ahmad Khatami called it "obscene" and "immoral" in Tehran's friday prayer speech. Ansar-e Hezbollah protested outside the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance building and set a 48-hour deadline for suspending the screening of the movie. Islamic Propagation Organization's Art Center, one of main proprietors of movie theatres in Iran, refused to screen the movie in its all 62 cinemas in order to "observe its duties in the protection of social and ideological values" because the movie "targeted Islamic morality and family decency". IRIB TV1
IRIB TV1 ( fa, شبکه یک, ''Shabakeh-e Yek'', lit. Channel 1) is one of the 40 national television channels in Iran. IRIB TV1 was the first national television channel in Iran, and is now the oldest Iranian television channel having been established in 1958. The channel is referred to by some as the ''National Channel'', as most of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting's television budget is set aside for this channel. The channel has a wide range of programming such as drama series, television premieres of major Iranian movies, and talk shows. Children's shows also air in reruns, but most of them air first-run on IRIB TV2's youth programming block. The channel also has the most watched Iranian news broadcast and televises the Friday prayers. The channel televised major sporting events until IRIB TV3 attained the rights for those broadcasts, as well as numerous viewers. It broadcasts to the Persian-speaking areas of the Middle East and is headquartered in Tehran.
