Sadig Zarbaliyev
Sadig Siraj oghlu Zarbaliyev ( az, Sadıq Sirac oğlu Zərbəliyev, born April 11, 1951) is an Azerbaijani naqareh master, People's Artiste of Azerbaijan (1998). Biography Sadig Zarbaliyev was born on April 11, 1951, in Kurdamir District. After graduating from high school, he went to military service in 1969. After completing his military service, he came to Baku in 1973 and worked together with People's Artists Vali Gadimov and Aftandil Israfilov in the ensemble of Honored Artist Baba Salahov. Since 1975, Sadig Zarbaliyev has been working together with People's Artist of the USSR Zeynab Khanlarova. Kurdamir District
Kurdamir district ( az, Kürdəmir rayonu) is one of the 66 districts of Azerbaijan. It is located in the centre of the country and belongs to the Central Aran Economic Region. The district borders the districts of Zardab, Ujar, Goychay, Ismayilli, Agsu, Hajigabul, Sabirabad, and Imishli. Its capital and largest city is Kurdamir. Naqareh
The ''naqareh'', ''naqqāra'', ''nagara'' or ''nagada'' is a Middle Eastern drum with a rounded back and a hide head, usually played in pairs. It is thus a membranophone of the kettle drum variety. The term ''naqqāra'' (), also ''naqqarat'', ''naqqarah'', ''naqqåre'', ''nakkare'', ''nagora'' comes from the Arabic verb ''naqr-'' that means "to strike, beat". The instrument was also adopted in Europe following the Crusades, and known as the naccaire or naker. The term artiste refers to a professional entertainer, and awards creative success in the theater, cinema and music fields of art in the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was preceded by the People's Artiste of the Azerbaijan SSR (1931–1991). Assignment The honorary title "People's Artiste of Azerbaijan" was established by Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 22, 1998, along with some other titles. The President of Azerbaijan confers the honorary title on his initiative, as well as on the proposal of the National Assembly and the Cabinet of Ministers. Aftandil Eynulla oghlu Israfilov ( az, Aftandil Eynulla oğlu İsrafilov, January 24, 1941 — April 29, 2023) was an Azerbaijani garmon player, People's Artiste of Azerbaijan (1998), People's Artist of the Dagestan (2008). Biography Aftandil Israfilov was born on January 24, 1941, in Baku. In 1961, he was admitted to the civil construction faculty of the Polytechnic Institute. Due to his interest in garmon, he left his studies and dedicated his life to music. Aftandil Israfilov creates an ensemble within "Azkonsert" and carries out artistic direction. Aftandil Israfilov, after touring Turkey together with Zeynab Khanlarova in 1970, performed in series of concerts around the world as part of her ensemble. Aftandil Israfilov is the author of up to 100 musical moods such as "Zemfira", "Kamala", "Nazila", "Aynure", "Jala", "Basgalı". Aghababa Aliheydar oghlu Salahov ( az, Ağababa Əliheydər oğlu Salahov, February 5, 1923 — August 12, 1981) was an Azerbaijani tar master, Honored Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR (1964). Biography Baba Salahov was born on February 5, 1923, in Baku. He learned to play tar from Ahmad Bakikhanov. From 1940 until his death, he was the concertmaster of the Azerbaijan State Orchestra of Folk Instruments. In 1965, he created the Orchestra of Folk Musical Instruments of Azerbaijan Television and Radio and led it until the end of his life. Here he accompanied Hajibaba Huseynov, Rubaba Muradova, Shovkat Alakbarova, Sara Gadimova, Abulfat Aliyev, Yagub Mammadov, Zeynab Khanlarova, Aghakhan Abdullayev, Sakina Ismayilova, Alim Qasimov and other famous singers. Biography Zeynab Khanlarova was born on 28 December 1936, in Baku and was the youngest of the family's five children. In 1956, Zeynab Khanlarova graduated from Baku Pedagogical School named after M.A.Sabir.
