Sadie Hargreaves
Sadie Lloyd (previously Hargreaves) was a fictional character in the UK soap opera ''Family Affairs'', played by Barbara Young from 1998 until 2005. Storylines Sadie first appeared in late November 1998 as Pamela Tripp's gossipy and flamboyant mother, a former stage actor. Sadie then took a job working for the villainous Pete Callan serving behind the bar at bar/restaurant The Lock, and became one of Pete's few friends. She refused to believe that her daughter Pamela was being stalked by a former client, but after Pamela killed him in self-defence, assisted her daughter in disposing of the body and keeping the incident secret. After the body was found in 1999 Pamela accepted full responsibility for the crime, and Sadie was not charged. Family Affairs
''Family Affairs'' is a British soap opera that aired on Channel 5. It debuted on 30 March 1997, the day of the launch of said channel and was the first programme broadcast on the channel. It was screened as five thirty-minute episodes per week, followed by an omnibus edition on Sundays. The series never achieved high ratings, so it went through a number of dramatic revamps involving wholesale cast turnover. The premise of the series was also refocused from a family in a quiet suburb just outside London, to a range of different people living on a bustling outer London street. The series was shot on video to give a film look. In 1999 and 2004, single episodes used standard video presentation for testing purposes. Karen Ellis (also Webb) is a fictional character from the Channel 5 soap opera ''Family Affairs'', played by Tanya Franks. ''Soaplife'' was a soap opera magazine published in the United Kingdom by TI Media (formerly IPC Media and Time Inc. UK). The magazine was first published in 1999 and focused on British and Australian soap operas. It was originally published monthly, before changing its frequency to fortnightly in 2004 when it underwent a relaunch.
